***Howard Stern*** (3 Viewers)

Excellent show today, especially the part with Johnny and the Angry Midget.

ACK ACK!

Sal is a *GREAT* roaster BTW. He could make a living doing that exclusively.

Eric the Welcher =

Nice to see them pull in Seth Rogan last week, but a little surpising they booked that Lukas character today. Interesting interview, but come on. That show has been off the air for years and the guy in on promoting a 500 seat show in the city.

So he got married this weekend. I assume the wont be on this week?
George kind of gave away that Howard's wedding is between Sept. 20th and October 12th. If there's another show vacation scheduled in there, then that's going to be it.

Does anyone else find Sal fascinating, I think he's a funny guy and I love how dark a sense of humor he has.
Fascinating? No. Entertaining? hell yes. I'm mostly laughing at the staff reactions and jokes made about Sal rather than his brand of humor. His defense of any comments related to race are gold. His prank calls are good, but I like the soundboard ones better.

I could listen to them talk to ETM all day, every day.
Some of the stuff is funny, but the long awkwardresponses from ETM :ack: :ack: friggin kill me. Be annoying or stupid or funny, but just be something other than silence. As an aside, why does he even have anything to do with the show. He's said he doesn't listen to the show except when he's on hold. I don't get it.Does he even find anything about the show funny?

Now SAL...Sal is funny.

His roast material and delivery is very good esp. for an amateur.

Here is the prank call they played the other day, when Richard and Sal bombard the "Talkin' Yankees" guy.

Has me in tears every time, especially Sal's comment at the 1:00 mark.

Story on Jonah's legendary crank is here.

All of this is exactly why he is funny.

Watched George's bachelor pary on HowardTV. One of the weirdest hours ever. George stroked and made out with a complete stranger. Strange. The prettiest penis contest was just too much after that. One weirdo after another. I think the crew was in shell-shock after the experience.

Anyone else notice the last two Friday Master Tapes on 101 were repeats?

Are they really already out of good shows from the previous 15-20 years, after 2 years of playing one per week?

One thing I wouldn't mind is if they did a chronological order of the old shows on Fridays. Start in some year in the 80's and do the last day of the week's show from back then on Friday.

some howard is better then no howard.

I have no problem with his vacation and if it means I can continue to hear him for the next 5 years but he gets even more vacation thats fine by me. I tried O&A and all the other crap morning shows, I can deal with Sirius NFL in the am for a week every now and then.

I love the replay of James Taylor in studio. This is prior to Howard's divorce from Allison. Howard is making fun of James Taylor giving up half of his money in his divorce, and then Howard says that if he's ever single again, there is no way he is never getting married again.

He then goes on to assert it again in the Stevie Wonder interview, which was October of 2005.I'm confused as to how Thursday's show was "The Losers meet the Legends", though. Also, weren't all of those interviews played during the music special of Labor Day 06 (or 07)? So today, we get the Best of the Best Of the Best Of the Best Of. I like the programming, but it is kind of repetitive. Perhaps I'd feel differently, though, if I didn't have a stiletto to record all the shows and listed to whenever I want.

The vacations are pretty typical for Stern, but when you also weigh in the fact that he doesn't work Fridays, it's ridiculous.

When he first got to Sirius, he was so jazzed up to put together great programming and it really was great for 3 or 4 months. He then started talking about how once in a while he was going to take Fridays off. Then it morphed into once in a while he would work on Fridays. Well, now we all know it's he just plain doesn't work Fridays.

We then got the Friday show, which I thought was great because it actually had to be produced. Baba Booey and Jon Hein played clips from certain great moments in show history. That devolved into simply slapping a show on from some time in the history of the program with no effort whatsoever.

That wouldn't be so bad if the show itself held up. It hasn't. He rushes through everything. The most fascinating part of the show to me used to be the employee vs. employee fights - he rushes through that crap now. Sometimes during the news, he, Artie and Fred would just start with some shtick and interrupt the entire news reading with it and I'd be cracking up listening to them (i.e. either Ted Kennedy impressions, Dice Clay impressions, the Jackie/Gilbert laugh).

Nothing - after Robin's first news story, he's already trying to get her to finish things up.

I can't stand the show any more, I can't stand Howard any more, I can't stand Artie any more. It's brutal.

I'm done - I think Stern is one of the reasons Sirius is doing so poorly. They paid him half a billion dollars and allowed him to do whatever the f he wanted when he got there. They hold him to no standards at all. He has his money, and could care less about delivering a quality product. His cross promotion of the stations is ok, but it gets nauseating, especially when the music stations aren't that great to begin with. The playlists are so incredibly shallow it's ridiculous.

I'm done with my subscription as well.

ETA: I forgot to mention how the commercial breaks have devolved into 10 minutes long. They used to be 2 minutes long and Howard was proud of the fact. The point of Sirius was few or no commercials. Even if the length IS 10 minutes, it drives me nuts that he has to ask Fred over and over "do we need to break Fred?" "Should I take a break Fred?" and he splits up segments with commercial breaks on commercial free radio. Nonsense.

even with all that, Sirius is still 10X better than regular radio. I don't like music enough to justify getting an IPOD, so it still works for me.

"I'm all by myself!!"

I had to get up and leave my desk i was laughing so hard.

:hophead: Football season alone is worth it. I don't get  here so it's nice to listen to the game live

Howie hates hearing the truth. A couple callers pointed out what a baby he was being about the Daily News article and he was "fired up" for about 30 seconds and went back to droning on about Beth.

Weird, I heard it the other way. He was ticked off and couldn't seem to get it across well since he was so angry. Plus he was admitting that it annoyed him so much that he was being very short tempered about it. I can understand why he was so upset, I mean he is portrayed as such a ######## in the media and then for the papers to say he is selling off a girl's virginity when all he is doing is (technically) promoting someone else selling it off. He said that if he were the one actually doing it then he would have had no problem with the article, but I got the feeling that he thought the idea was very below some type of stunt/bit he would do that it being tagged to his name/show was a drag.

Pretty surreal moment for me, being a guy who has listened to Howard in the morning and Mike and the Mad Dog in the afternoons for the last 20yrs.

Mad Dog meets Stern.
