They pick the docking spots where there’s not a ton of snow. I have other pics…I was expecting more snow.

I wish I had Kutta's life.. Have fun!Fair question. How many organs do I have to sell to make this trip happen after all the surgeries?
I've been to the North Pole (via nuclear sumbarine) and now I need to do this trip.
Safe travels and best wishes, hope you have a great trip.
I’m traveling solo, so my prices are higher.
The cost of the cruise alone for me was $20k. BUT, I paid almost double because I’m single and got a great balcony room.. So if traveling with a partner you could easily do $20k total for the two of you.
I talked to a guy who’s also solo who got a crummy small room with only a portal and it was $11k.
The only other thing you need is flights and maybe a hotel room here and there. My total cost was about $30k, but I also fly business class and I’m kind of a travel snob.
I’d say, if you’re doing it with a partner, you could probably do the whole trip for $30k for the both of you.
If you’re single, you could do it for $20k.
Which is significantly preferred to just going with the floe.guess you just go with the flow!
Awesome photo. Hope you have a great trip, kutta.I love the way this iceberg pic turned out. That’s “hang on the wall” worthy.

epic...this is why I want go to Antarctica in a nutshell. That is an image you can take with you to the grave. priceless.
Reminds me when I sat in front of the Sphinx in Cairo for 2 hours....I didn't want to leave.
I don't know if you've kept up on recent events regarding orcas but you sure you guys weren't lunch?Speaking of moments, we just saw a huge pod of orcas swimming around. They were all around the boat.

There are. Yes there are.Are there any single ladies on the boat?
It’s not bad at all. About 30 F. When we are in the water in a zodiac with the wind it gets pretty chilly, but I expected worse. How cold is it? Can you locate your penis when you pee?
These were friendly little guys!I don't know if you've kept up on recent events regarding orcas but you sure you guys weren't lunch?Speaking of moments, we just saw a huge pod of orcas swimming around. They were all around the boat.![]()
What recent event was this? Are you talking about the pod -- off Spain and/or Portugal I think -- that has been ****ing with sail boats? Because there are no recorded kills of humans in the wild.I don't know if you've kept up on recent events regarding orcas but you sure you guys weren't lunch?Speaking of moments, we just saw a huge pod of orcas swimming around. Yes those instances exactly and more tongue in cheek than anything else. Agree that if those orca's wanted to dine on humans, they would have dined on humans. What recent event was this? They think it's the same pod and they go after rudders on smaller sailboats. Like dismantling them. Some surmise that this learned behavior is due to one of them being injured or killed by a boat strike and so the orcas see those type of vessels as a danger or threat of sorts and that this is some sort of retaliation. Others think they are "playing" or teaching young. That said, there's been no injuries to my knowledge but I do believe some boats were lost and people have had to be saved.
Let's face it though, if it was the people they were after on those boats, they would be long gone.
The whole thing is very interesting, as there's been multiple instances now, but only in this region, so there does seem to be a pattern here and you wonder how or if it ends.
Are there any single ladies on the boat?
An old friend of my wife's used to he obsessed eith Polar bears- went on a series of Polar bear vacations to exotic and cold locations. Ended up meeting a russian mon and her 20 something daughter. Long distance "romance" that we assumed would end with bank account or cc or human organs shared with the dark web. That was 10 years ago...they got married and have a 6 year old in DC.Are there any single ladies on the boat?
wanted to give this some more love... amazing photo- definitely wall-hanging worthy and more!I love the way this iceberg pic turned out. That’s “hang on the wall” worthy.

I’m not a weed guy, and smoking is strictly prohibited on the ship. But I’ve enjoyed plenty of brown liquor…I love this thread. Would love to see some pics of the ship and your accommodations.
Not sure if you're a weed guy but I can't imagine many things more awesome than sitting on your balcony, enjoying the scenery with some great tunes and a marijuana cigarette, and/or a cigar and brown liquor.

Are their multiple groups on the ship with you? Or is it all your group?
Across the Drake channel day 1 was pretty rough. Lots of sickness. They had barf bags tied to all the railings. I took bonine and was fine.Did people get seasick? That's my biggest fear with this trip...although that's a formidable ship.
Ship uses Starlink for connectivity?
That was them. Check out his pics in IG if you want. “Snowbrains”. This is 162 people, not sure what groups there are. But they said they had a group of skiers 10 days ago on the ship
Already done! Thanks!
It’s coming up - they don’t know what day yet, but I plan to do itWhen's the polar plunge?
It’s quiet. Really quiet. And clean. The water and the air and the land. It’s all pristine - it feels like nothing has changed for millions of years.Any intangibles that youre noticing... Smell, air quality, etc
Gonna need a bigger glassThis is cool. The zodiac guides bring back glacier ice and they use it at the bar. My Makers Mark with glacier ice.

It’s 11:30 pm right now and pretty dark. It gets light around 4:30 am. So it’s not horrible right now. And the ship has blackout curtains so that’s good. This is so cool. Two questions....
How long are the days?
Is there obvious signs of climate change or no?
We have consistently been 2 hours later than EST.Another stupid question...what time gets used (ie. EST, PST, etc)?
Well, we did this tonight. I almost backed out but I did it - I’m glad I did. It was great! It’s coming up - they don’t know what day yet, but I plan to do itWhen's the polar plunge?![]()
