I Now Remember How Much I Hate Fantasy Football (1 Viewer)

How much was your entry fee, chet? Mine was half a mil.
It's not about the entry fee in my case. It's about losing to a guy who drafted two TEs and a D in the first four rounds.

By half a mil, do you mean $500 or $500,000? If it's the latter, you've got world class cahones.

Chet

I'm not reveling in your misfortune. I'm reveling in you acting like a ##### about your misfortune.
Have you ever been beaten by someone who drafted TEs in their first two rounds?

Have you ever heard of someone drafting TEs in their first two rounds?

I lost to a guy who drafted Seattle's defense in the 1st round, in a league where Russel Wilson was the #2 overall pick. It's just luck.

12-teamer, Graham and Gronk at the turn (start 1-QB league) is not the worst strategy ever.... something like that.

It gives you an enormous weekly advantage at the position.

10 team and he had picks 1.4 and 2.7 (not 2.6 as previously described). He took Graham and Julius Thomas.

Your people are not keeping you informed. Heads will roll eh?

Bought a subscription so I could just use Draft Dominator to draft for me because I hate fantasy football and refuse to do any research of my own.

When I asked in the applications forum how to use it, I was told "I need to use a little skill"

WTF

My teams look similar to yours and I'm going 0-3 this week. You in for a friendly suicide pact?
Exactly. #### all of the #######s who say, "You should have done your own projections." WAT? I am going to do a better job than Jene Bramel and Cecil Lammey?
Clearly it isn't that hard if the guy drafting two TEs in the first and second round beat your brains in.

It's week one. All you have to do is make the playoffs and get lucky. You weren't going undefeated. It really is all luck.

yes.

This was by design (a default setting you no doubt didn't see in the Draft Dominator setup). This game is a marathon, not a sprint. They set you up for a week 1 loss with the lowest score possible so you can get the #1 WW claim. You'll scoop up the top kicker this week and go on to a 12-1 record. Be patient, donk.

So you're complaining someone drafted their flex who happened to have the most magic football points yesterday (outside of QB) in the 2nd round?

Fantasy football "knowledge" sites exist due to the same reason that Las Vegas exists.

People come and leave money.

This is like going to the track, not knowing anything about horses, then complaining that the tip sheet you bought out front didn't bring you thousands. I do the exact same thing you do GBChet, sometimes it pans out, sometimes it doesn't. Considering I do -zero- work and invest a whole $25 I think for the information, I consider it a good value.

The tools are fantastic, the news is outstanding. The sunday updates are extremely helpful and the ability to link teams and find free agents at-a-glance are very helpful.

The projections have been inconsistent and unreliable for years. It is what it is.
Projections of any kind be it weather or FF are basically unreliable. With the weather being much easier to predict. If any person could predict the future they would be buying and selling pork bellies and not playing FF.

Thought I read somewhere that the most accurate projections are only around 64% accurate but Dodds and one or two other staffers here consistently hit at or near that mark.

I start with the FBG averages and then move players up and down my board based on age, risk, situation, etc. If you're just blindly following someone else's analysis, where is the fun or challenge in that? And to then blame them when your teams suck is about as pathetic as it gets.

How about you let a SP notable manage your teams each week? You can't do any worse right?

I am in one league and I did the least amount of research this year, paid for the subscription and relied solely on FBGs for my information and projections. I didn't use the DD, but used the draft lists from the myFBG section.

Yahoo gave me a draft grade of A+ and projected me to have the best record.

My team is doing well this week, but I'm not liking my QB selection (RG3).

However, the real value in FBG's I've found through the years is in IDP leagues. They nail that stuff in comparison to other places and Yahoo doesn't even really rank their IDP's. I have a huge advantage on those positions thanks to FBGs.

If I've learned anything over the years, it's that week 1 results always 100% accurately predict the rest of the season.

Agreed, I'm not rushing to make any rash moves this week. I loved my teams two days ago and one data point doesn't suddenly make me panic.

THEY SCREWED ME TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not sure why they can't update the free version of the dominator a little closer to the season.....
