No one can "make it happen." If you really want to start a television network, you should spend the next little while raising as much money as possible and then bid on the Sunday ticket. You'll probably be bidding against google, but it's worth a try. Winning the Sunday ticket rights would create a network.

Obviously the cheaper and easier route to go is to start an internet tv channel; no FCC bs to get bogged down either from what I've seen. Maybe start there with some content then archive for later viewings while building up to streaming some live. Extremely difficult to do in your spare time and with a family but who knows?

My idea is bigger than this though so I would need to secure the various trademarks, domain, etc. up front. Just spitballin'. No written business plan yet.

Abe, what I was alluding to was meeting with someone with industry experience to help with direction and vet the idea. Figured some FBG might work in the business and offer a few words. I have a contact I can reach out to who could probably get me a meeting with a player in the industry but way too early to play that card.

I had an idea once to start a TV Channel too! My idea was a channel where you only showed good news. Every other channel on the dial already has all the bad news covered, so this would be only 24x7 feel-good stories and news. It would be called the Good News Network, or... wait for it.... GNN (get it, like CNN, har-har). Could be huge.
