Separate threads for all these guys are welcome but it was a crazy week for injuries. Hopefully most of these are minor, but a couple of them looked or sound pretty bad this AM. Figured a heads-up was warranted for all these guys after flipping through the morning newsrags and seeing name IDP after name IDP set up for the dreaded "more tests today."
Brian Urlacher looked like he was knocked out briefly on a goal line play late in the game, but apparently injured his foot around the same time. He's getting an MRI today to evaluate for ligament damage according to the Chicago Tribune.
Michael Strahan has a sprained foot and will have further tests today according to Newsday and the NY Daily News. The Daily News beat writer raises concerns of a possible Lis Franc injury.
Leigh Bodden has another high ankle sprain and didn't return according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, who are suggesting he'll be out for at least a week.
Gary Brackett strained a hamstring and didn't return last night. No word yet on the severity in the Indianapolis Star.
Rodney Harrison has a shoulder injury of some sort. The Patriots called it an arm injury according to the Boston Globe. Looked like a separated shoulder type injury to me.
The Chiefs lost Tamba Hali (hip injury), Greg Wesley (shoulder injury -- MRI today), and Derrick Johnson (re-aggravated ankle injury) according to the KC Star.
Ian Gold has a hamstring injury and was unable to return to the game; Al Wilson, Nick Ferguson and John Lynch all had a concussion. All will be re-evaluated mid-week according to the Rocky Mountain News.
Luis Castillo has some kind of leg injury and left the locker room in a boot, and apparently Donnie Edwards was okay after returning to the game after hyper-extending his knee but was limping noticeably on his way out according to the SD Union-Tribune.
Nick Collins severely bruised his lower back and didn't return. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel said he was having his kidneys tested, which could mean anything.
Darrion Scott apparently has a high ankle sprain and will have an MRI today according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Shelton Quarles has an ankle injury, discussed in another thread. The Tampa Bay Tribune is saying he didn't return to the game yesterday, which contradicts the Bucs.com report posted in the separate thread.
Miraculously, Bob Sanders escaped unscathed. Although I hear Dan Morgan bumped his head on his fishing boat and is questionable for next week's basket-weaving party.
