Kyle Vanden Bosch is ranked 7 and Robert Geathers is ranked 8 and Schobel is ranked 27. I don't get it.The guy had 104 fpts last year versus peppers 119! What am I missing here? Thanks

You and me both.Schobel will be facing the "almighty" combo of Riley & Wand at LT for the Texans. Couple these two clowns with the fact Houston allowed 49 sacks last year, and I would not be surprised to see 2+ sacks from Schobel this weekend.

Yes, I agree with you. In fact, I don't like the whole Defensive Rankings at all this week. Other than the obvious, I don't too much time was spent putting it together. If I were you, I wouldn't be deterred from playing what your gut is telling you. In other words, toss out this weeks rankings.

There is more to defensive rankings than just re-listing draft sheets. Alot of things come into play besides what they did or did not do last season. Peppers and Grant may head the LM on everyone's draft sheet, but that doesn't mean they are going to outscore the league every week. By season's end they are projected to. It seems so many people love to bash the rankings when their own players get ranked lower than they think they should. Use the sheets as a guide and base your decisions from that. If you disagree then play the opposite and see what the outcome is. The man behind the scenes here doing these rankings is one of the best at IDP that I have seen in the 10 years I have been doing IDP. Is he always right? Nope, noone is always right unfortunately....

I agree with you there. However, there are few  that will be interesting to see what happens.

I love this matchup for Schobel. He was the 1st guy I put in my lineup this week

I agree. The rankings are quite odd and Schobel will have a big week. :D I hope the staff decides to list two different set of projections. This was done for most of last season. I found it helpful.

One sack already for Schobel only seven minutes into the game...

3-5-HOU35 (8:00) (Shotgun) D.Carr sacked at HST 27 for -8 yards (A.Schobel).

Sack #2. Beginning of 3rd Quarter...

1-10-BUF38 (12:55) D.Carr sacked at BUF 48 for -10 yards (A.Schobel). Penalty on HST-D.Davis, Offensive Holding, declined.

Schobel made my first cut of DLs with great matchups this week, but I didn't write him up b/c I think he's pretty much a guy that you have to start almost every week. Definitely liked his matchup a lot this week...the Texans tied for the 3rd most points allowed to opposing DL last year, including 12.6 solo tackles/game and 2.5 sacks/game.
