If Barkley had come out, how would it have altered trading up for a QB (1 Viewer)

Vikings currently at 1.03. Do they take a QB, also trade their pick away, or what do you think happens? What do you think the Rams get for the 1.02?

Rams have to be a happy Barkley stayed in school because I doubt they get more than a single future 1st from the Redskins if he was in the draft.

Agree. It is the lack of supply that makes the demand so high this year. One more really good QB and it is possible they may not even be given trade offers and invariably not nearly as lucrative.

I think the only affect would be pushing tannehill down further.

Since this is pure speculation, I think the team to benefit would be the Vikings. A team still would have traded up to #2 with the Rams., but probably not this early. Then a another team would have traded with the Vikings. I think the overall cost would been lower for whoever went to number 2, but imo Barkely would have created more activity not less for teams around ten or so might think there is a real shot for them to get up to three.

Think it'd really help the Vikings. Rams probably don't get quite the haul they got.

With the way RG3 performed athletically at combine, I think he'd go 2. Tannehill would get shoved down a bit.

TB would have made out big time had Barkley come out. Minn would have struggled to trade their pick and still land Kalil, IMO. They still may have done it but it really would have given TB's 4 pick a lot more value. It's very possible Minn doent trade their pick in that situation and then he's available at 4, allow for TB to get a haul. Even if Minn does trade, Kalil at 4 would be great for TB. Although I think Claiborne is an elite prospect, I think many see him a bit bellow Kalil & the QBs.

The Browns would have gotten the better QB, RG3, and the Rams still would have traded the pick to the Skins but for Barkley. For not as much though. I don't think Barkley sucks, but I think Luck and RG3 are both better, even though most scouting outlets disagreed.

I'm hearing rumblings the Browns really like Barkley, so it wouldn't surprise me if we trade down from 1.4 and add a future 1 so we have the ability to move up and get Barkley next year if we flop again this year.
