retires after the season most likely winning the season MVP this year after breaking a couple records would he be a HOF candidate? He would have played 6 seasons and would go out on top of the game and unlike Bettis he would still be able to walk for the most part as well.

Would any of you find fault with Tomlinson if he would leave the game after accomplishing so much in so little time?

He's broken nearly every record for a RB that's played the game as long as he has. Fastest to 100 tds, 1200 yards and 10 tds for 7? consecutive seasons, etc. He's shoe in for the HOF whenever he retires.

Agreed, and to answer the other question - I blame NO running back for leaving when they do. Robert Smith, Tiki Barber and others that could still walk normally have the right idea. Granted, I would like LT to stay for selfish reasons (I love watching him play - though not a Charger fan or Dynasty owner - just a real fan of his).

Exactly. I have never understood why people get so upset at a player retiring.
