Seems that these players will be forever linked. Who would you take and why?

I would go with Rivers and Williams. I think I'm in the minority here.

Rivers: I'm just not a believer in Eli Manning. Spare me the "he won the big game" schtick. His defensive line won that game, he just happened to be along for the ride. Further, he lucked his ### off with that prayer of a pass that ended in the Tyree reception. QBs get way too much credit for a win and take way too much criticism for losses in my opinion.

Williams: Looks like he'll be a difference maker for a long time to come. Bush strikes me as a glorified scat-back.

I hope I didn't screw up the poll. I'm a virgin poll maker (that sounded bad, didn't it?).

Super Mario in a landslide. I should have given the SP general managers more credit with that one.

Rivers and Manning very close. Any reasons worth sharing?

A lot of people in this forum owe Charley Casserly Gary Kubiak a HUGE apology. You know who you are.
Fixed. If any apology is owed concerning Charlie Casserly, it is Casserly owing the Texans one for butchering every draft he had final say in.

I voted for Rivers over Manning. Whether or not Eli won a ring, he has too much bad technique, too much throwing off his back foot. He was an inch from being a goat in the Super Bowl when he threw off his back foot and Assante had his hands on what would have been the game ending pick as a result. They are still pretty close together in ability though. But until Eli shows he can fix what is wrong with his mechanics, I'll go with Rivers.
