i'm benching peyton hillis for... (1 Viewer)

Crazy? no but I wouldn't do it especially given the fact that Hillis is actually an active member of the Cleveland passing game.

Yes that's crazy..,

I'm debating between Charles,mcCoy, and Hillis. Leaning towards Hillis or Charles but I wouldn't sit him for Blount.

Sitting Hillis for Bradshaw and S. Jackson

All about matchups for me (also sat Michael Turner on Thursday), this is the toughest one Hillis has left on his schedule and could be in my lineup after this week for the rest of the year if he stays healthy.

I just don't like this matchup. Of course if I didn't have 2 other solid matchups I'd go with Hillis, I just feel Jackson off the bye should be feeling healthy and should run strong.

If you start Blount and lost you are ' dan fool'

But if win you are 'Mangenius', either way have a story ready.

With hillis win or lose you don't get any fame or infamy.

Best chance of winning Hillis, best chance of shocking everyone Blount.

On a bad day P-Hill is going to get you 40 rushing/30 receiving. I will take a floor like that.

Yes, you are crazy. Matchups should bee used as a tiebreaker between players of similar value. Hillis and Blount are several tiers removed from one another. As some else said you're out thinking yourself. Start your studs unless you have anouther stud. Hillis is a stud...Blout isn't.

Deciding between Hillis and Charles. Right now leaning Charles due to the match-up. Of course Haley always makes me nervous and I know Hillis always gets his touches.

This is a great illustration of why you can't trade Hillis. Even some of his owners aren't completely sold on how valuable he is despite being the centerpiece of a rushing offense who also catches the ball, whose put up biggest rushing numbers of season against teams like the Ravens and Patriots, and whose coach has publicly committed to him as the 16 game starter, and all with no viable threat to steal carries.

Hillis ran all over the Ravens. he catches passes too (ppr), he's the goal line back, gets 25+ touches a game guaranteed barring injury, a must start in 2 RB leagues every week PERIOD.

ETA - HE HAS NOT HAD LESS THEN 15.8 POINTS IN ANY WEEK THIS YEAR IN MY PPR LEAGUE, AND THEY PLAYED SOME PRETTY TOUGH TEAMS. THE FIRST FEW WEEKS HE WASN'T EVEN THE FEATURE BACK.

leaning Benson over Hills.....Indy rush defense is awful....should have started Hillis over Turner but too late now

Blount only knows about 45-50% of playook and Caddy still there to rob 3rd downs and few other carries. no way i start Blount of Hillis.

Thoughts on Tamme though???

I have Hillis,Best & Blount so Hillis starts regardless of the matchup. Best on the road with a poor Bills run D gets my other starter spot. Shaun Hill has the arm injury and may have some issues handing off with the left arm. Sure he and Best worked on it. Blount has a decent matchup and even that Best has turf toe injuries he's the better back so Blount rides the pine this week for me.

Hillis is a must start every week in 2 RB leagues unless you own two out of Foster, CJ, and AP.
I dont think he is there yet....Jets shut down most RBs...Indy is one of the worst rush defenses I have seen....dont think its crazy to bench Hillis for Benson

I would never, ever, in a million years start Tamme over Hillis.
Tamme 2 games since clark out6 rec 64yds td 18.4pts

11rec 108yds td 32.8 pts

*cincy imploding and secondary/defense should be picked apart by Peyton Manning that is

now explain to me your rationale because it looks like the second coming of dallas clark to me

Jets vs RB (#1 at stopping RB) in 8 games 167carries 529yds 1td 21rec 174yds 0tds 10.5pts avg ppr

Starting Hillis with Mendenhall and keeping S Jax on the bench in my PPR dynasty. (I'm still trying to sort out my WR dilemma though.....)

Last week I benched Hillis for LT2. Today I am faced with the same decision. Leaning towards Hillis though LT2 is still in my starting lineup. I'll probably just flip a coin...

This is has BUMP written all over it...

that said I'm starting Hillis over Blount, Santana Moss, TB M Williams, Thomas Jones in my flex...

....leaning back towards Hillis this morning over Charles and McCoy...

I just don't think I can play a guy splitting carries over a featured battering ram like Hillis.....With Hillis you are guaranteed GL and RZ carries....Also even though the matchup looks tough for Hillis, Cleveland should stay in this game - This is a VERY solid Browns Defense and we've seen Sanchez struggle before... You gotta think both teams will be trying to run the ball with their inexperienced QB's...

Std scoring (non ppr) I'm in coin flip mode b/w Hillis & Best.

Other RB is MJD.

Best vs Buf looks like a dream matchup but fact is Best hasn't scored a TD since wk2 and Hillis has scored 6 since then.

Going to grind it out with Hillis I think.

I understand what you mean with regards to Hillis being generally undervalued. I picked him up off the ww in the first week of the season but rarely started him because I usually rolled with Foster and Bradshaw. I did get some production out of him a couple of times this year and earlier tried to move him (and Malcom Floyd pre-hammy) for Jamaal Charles. The Charles owner rejected my offer, telling me that he had three backs on his roster who would outscore Hillis most weeks (LT, MJD, Charles) and that Hillis was going to share carries with Mike Bell.Well, obviously that owner was way off base and admittedly I was too skeptical of Hillis' ability to continue at that pace. I was willing to trade him because of fear of injury and future tough matchups. It worked out perfectly for me because I dealt him Friday, two hours before the trade deadline, to an owner who values him properly. In return I received Andre Johnson.I would not have made that deal were it not for the block buster I pulled off the day before: Bradshaw, Boldin, and Shiancoe for Chris Johnson. So, unless you are lucky enough to have Foster and CJ along with Hillis, The Other Peyton has no business being on your bench. Start him with confidence, especially in ppr leagues.

I have to agree with the other poster that I would not be starting Tamme over Hillis.1. Hillis has been putting up points all season. Tamme has put up number for two games.

2. RBs are usually more dependable/consistent than a WR/TE.

3. Tamme is listed on the injury report.

4. While Cincy is 2-6 the defense isn't the main problem. True that they are no where near as good as last year but is you look at the stats they are middle of the road (18th?) this year.

Hillis is a much better play IMO.

Hillis has had 10 or more every week. He has been consistant and is ranked #5 in my league, behind only Foster, Peterson, McFadden and Gore....He is noticed now because of his big game last week. Before last week, he was still ranked 10th.

I too have not gotten the most out him because I also have Gore and SJax. Well, thanks to SJax having a bye last week, he led me to a victory, that I wouldn't have had otherwise.

I will be starting him along with Gore until further notice.
