I might sit Chris Johnson for him.

Yeah He never even got in a limited practice last weekclose? he was listed as doubtful, when he hurt the hammy it looked like he could barely walk, heck the Jagq might shut him down, people are getting shut down left and right across the leagueI would assume MJD will play of he was close last week (testing it before the game). In that case, Todman is WW fodder in most leagues.
If MJD is out, I'm flexing him over Woodhead if that gives you any clarity.Siding with playing him over Vereen in Flex.

Is his matchup that good really? The Jags are improved. I have the same dilemma and every week I look for reasons sit Johnson but he usually produces something. This is a tricky one.I'm going back and forth between him and Chris Johnson. CJ has a good matchup, but I don't know if I can trust him.
The Jags are improved but he is that player that can get 20+ points in a quarter of football, that's what keeps us coming back for more. (I'll sit him this week, with ADP likely a go, or Toadman as a backup).Kwai Chang Caine said:Is his matchup that good really? The Jags are improved. Actually, they do because he is a free agent after this year.BustedKnuckles said:the Jags don't have a reason to risk MJD's health
We should know by Friday I hope.Right now, in over Peterson. If MJD sits, this is a damn tough call. Tennessee has given up so many points to the top RB/top 2 RBs (with splits), like 25-40 PPR points in close to every game since week 5, including to the Raiders, Colts, Arizona, Broncos and Jax, not exactly the stalwarts of the NFL. If MJD sits, I can't imagine Todman not being in line for 15 points in PPR as his floor. Cincy on the other hand has given up 1 TD to running backs since week 3 and that was last week and it was a 1 yard TD the play after recovering a Cincy fumble during a punt. Cincy has been stingy against the run and only given up PPR points via receptions and Peterson is only averaging 2 receptions per game, they aren't using him in the pass game much at all.
It is hard to sit Peterson, but man, if MJD doesn't play, Todman has one of the best matchups that might make me sit Peterson. Cincy 1 TD allowed to RBs since week 3 on a fluke 1 yard attempt versus Tenn 17 TDs allowed to RBs since week 3 and 8 RBs to have at least 100 total yards. The worst lead RB against Tennessee since week 3 was Powell in week 4 with 14 PPR points.
Yeah, the problem for me is what if MJD is out and Peterson is active. Their matchups are such polar opposites that the risk of Peterson not finishing again versus what appears to be very nice floor for Todman without MJD. I honestly think I would go with Todman as crazy as it sounds. We should know by Friday I hope.Right now, in over Peterson. If MJD sits, this is a damn tough call. I think I would make that call as well if NJD is inactive. Bush has been dinged lately and if the Lions get up early (the Giants will lay down without Cruz in that case), they could decide to run Bell a lot more touches the rest of the game.Considering him over Bush. The NYG and Titans give up about the same point per game. The Titans give them up on the ground, whereas the NYG give them up in the air though.
So, to me, this means Calvin will probably have a huge game and may limit Bush.
I think Friday was the day to focus on but good info thxMJD missed practice again
@ESPNdirocco Is MJD going to play?
DiRocco: I talked to Maurice Jones-Drew on Thursday, and it doesn’t sound likely. He said he’s going to try, but it all depends on how the hamstring responds on Friday when he tests it for the first time this week. If it still doesn’t allow him to accelerate with power, prevents him from sudden changes of direction and robs him of his burst, he’s not going to play. Then we’d see another huge dose of Jordan Todman, who filled in pretty well for Jones-Drew last week.
Not against NE. I know what ya mean though.Todman over rice is a no brainer dude
Seriously? Gore is auto this weekend.Gore and Alf owners have tough decisions this week. Good matchups, but inconsistent recently.
Gore's in my lineup currently, but he's been very mediocre for 6 weeks now: 11, 7, 4, 11, 11, 9.Seriously? Gore is auto this weekend.Gore and Alf owners have tough decisions this week. Good matchups, but inconsistent recently.
You're right. i misunderstood you. I just think gore is going to go off against atlanta. its been tough sledding for him in some of those matchups you reference. this is a whole other world with atl. and i think jim will let the big dog eat finally. partly a gut decision but i can see some stats padded or what have you.Gore's in my lineup currently, but he's been very mediocre for 6 weeks now: 11, 7, 4, 11, 11, 9.Seriously? Todman's last 6 weeks: 8, 2, 4, 5, 10, 17. And he was only the starter for the last game.
As I said, good matchup for Gore, but if MJD doesn't play then Todman could easily be a good call over Frank this week.
I think so too, and ultimately think Gore has a pretty sure shot at a TD this week. That's making it kind of tough there. You're right. i misunderstood you. Been trying the same to get him in there.I'm looking at this pool of players and trying to figure out how to fit Todman into my lineup
RB: M. Forte, E. Lacy, S. Vereen, J. Todman, B. Rainey
WR: D. Thomas, A. Brown, K. Allen
Right now I am thinking about starting Forte, Lacy, Thomas, Brown, and either Allen or Todman. I'm leaning Todman.
And add in a TD.If MJD is out, Todman is a top 5 play this week. Titans give up the 3rd most points to the RB this year. Combine that with the 25 carries and 8 targets he got last week and this is a no brainer. Only guys I wouldn't start him over are McCoy, Lacy, Forte, and Charles. Opportunity meets volume with a hungry, young, FAST running back.
