im starting jordan todman vs buf over ? (1 Viewer)

Gore and Alf owners have tough decisions this week. Good matchups, but inconsistent recently.
Seriously? Gore is auto this weekend.
Gore's in my lineup currently, but he's been very mediocre for 6 weeks now: 11, 7, 4, 11, 11, 9. Todman's last 6 weeks: 8, 2, 4, 5, 10, 17. And he was only the starter for the last game.

As I said, good matchup for Gore, but if MJD doesn't play then Todman could easily be a good call over Frank this week.
You're right. i misunderstood you. I just think gore is going to go off against atlanta. its been tough sledding for him in some of those matchups you reference. this is a whole other world with atl. and i think jim will let the big dog eat finally. partly a gut decision but i can see some stats padded or what have you.
I have Gore and Morris. Sf has giving gore a lot of breaks recently. I am leaning toward Todman over Gore because sf has eased off Gore and could very well monday night.

Over Rice vs. bad rushing New England defense?

Or Forte? ......... I know, don't bench your studs, but could he only play 1/2 a game?

Siding with playing him over Vereen in Flex.
Me too in a PPR league. Vereen has more upside but I think Todman is guaranteed 20+ touches if MJD doesn't play. :2cents:

I cant have another stinker this week from Vereen. :fishy:
Same here - but 0.5ppr league. Also have Andre Brown and Ridley but the only real choice for me is the Todman vs. Vereen one. Will be mulling over a lot. I think getting back a couple of WRs will help Vereen. But Todman will be very tempting if MJD isn't playing. Dodds likes him a lot and Fantasy Pros top RB experts have him a bit over Brown and Vereen.

Hmmm, you guys have me thinking, which is never good. I have Vereen, Peterson, Lacy, Todman and Rice. I am pretty locked in on Lacy and pretty locked out on Rice. I was assuming Vereen and Todman right now (PPR w/flex) and waiting on Peterson. Maybe Peterson slips in over Vereen and Vereen sits. FBGs has those 3 in a virtual tie.

Vareen is gonna screw a lot of people on the bench I feel. I lost my game last week due to his dud. So he's on my bench, which means he will blow up.

But ITIT (in Todman I trust).

Is MJD definitely out?
should know today. Im guessing he is
I hope he's out. Rotoworld has him expected to practice today.
hes going to ''test'' his hammy...if he cant go full speed with burst or cant make sharp cuts ,hes out

Maurice Jones-Drew, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars: The competitor in him wants to play but his body may not allow it. Jones-Drew missed last week’s game due to a hamstring strain, which still has not allowed him to practice. His veteran status has earned him the right to test the injury late in the week but, as of now, things are not looking promising. ESPN.com’s Mike DiRocco wrote this in his Thursday mailbag when asked if MJD was going to play:

“I talked to Maurice Jones-Drew on Thursday, and it doesn’t sound likely. He said he’s going to try, but it all depends on how the hamstring responds on Friday when he tests it for the first time this week. If it still doesn’t allow him to accelerate with power, prevents him from sudden changes of direction and robs him of his burst, he’s not going to play. Then we’d see another huge dose of Jordan Todman, who filled in pretty well for Jones-Drew last week.”

There you have it. Jones-Drew has a chance to play, but it appears to be a relatively slim one.

Maurice Jones-Drew - RB - Jaguars

Maurice Jones-Drew (hamstring) practiced on a limited basis Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 16 against Tennessee.

Despite the return to limited reps, Hays Carlyon of the Florida Times-Union expects Jordan Todman to start in fantasy finals week. Coach Gus Bradley only said Jones-Drew did "some work." At the start of the session, beat writers didn't even notice Jones-Drew doing anything. Fantasy owners can keep Todman penciled in as an RB2/flex, but should check back Sunday morning for confirmation.

Not the best news. Still looks like he won't play. But I was hoping they would go ahead and rule him out

If MJD is indeed OUT........I'm rolling the dice with Todman > Vereen. Of course that may change 3 or 4 times by Sunday kickoffs. :wall:

Peterson vs Todman (assuming Drew is out). I'm leaning towards Todman

I am sticking with Vareen over Todman in PPR. I look at it this way, if Todman goes off on my bench I will not be as upset as if Vareen goes off on my bench. Do I really want to roll the dice with a Jaguar in my championship game?

Yes, you do.

Todman will get the catches ...runs AND goal line tots....im thinking vareen is in a full blown RBBC and Blount gets the GL totes...i could be wrong of course

Will be deciding between todman now and vereen in PPR. As of now I have to go with todman with the safer floor. Tennessee has been so bad against the run the past few weeks. And todman did great without any tds. Tennessee gives up a lot of rushing tds

ive had todman ranked above vereen all week without a second thought. if thats your choice its todman for sure. he's a bell cow this week against ten's run d

Playing Todman over Spiller and Vereen non-ppr. This might be MJD's last home game as a Jaguar, wonder if that factors into if he plays or not.

Was thinking over Matthews in ppr since Todman had more recpt. last week. Tough choice for the 2 seem neck in neck.

My options at RB2 in a 10 teamer ppr to go along with Shady: Todman,Stacy, L Bell, Reggie Bush and Dennis Johnson. I'd love to go with Reggie but I'm tired of his calf and jerk Bell taking his touches. I may go Todman due to his matchup and situation. It's between him and L Bell who seems to be in the same situation and seeing the bulk of the workload. I really like what I saw from Bell last week.

If MJD plays then i am going with the Texans Dennis Johnson...but Todman is the preferred play based on match-up ,touches and last weeks performance

Anyone got an opinion on rainey vs vereen in a .5ppr? I know this aint the spot for it but I am not getting much from the ac forum...

That's really close. I would say go with your gut or first thought.

I think Vereen is a little safer, but that's just me. Either one could blow up for double digit fantasy points.

Agreed. RT @MatthewBerryTMR: I expect Todman to start RT @HaysCarlyon Gus says MJD did some work today in practice, listed as questionable.

(Not sure what "RT" means).

I don't think RBs "test" their hamstring for the first time in a game.

Presently have Jennings in over him in one league. Starting Todman over Gore and and Torrey smith/Hartline at flex in another.

I really want to put him in over Bush.

If Moreno didn't have such a nice matchup...Id do that instead.

But I go back and forth between Todman and Bush and its killing me.

I don't believe it. ... don't know how you can start todman if he plays. .
Ya, that's a really tough call in championship game. If MJD plays, Toddman could get 4 touches or MJD may play half speed or reinjure himself but that's a BIG risk to take in the biggest week unless you have no alternatives. If it were a choice between Vereen and Toddman I'd definitely roll with Vereen if MJD plays. The potential downside risk of Toddman would be too great.

Looks like no todman pushes me to rainey and vereen as my two starters. ..really wanted todman in there

MLD whizzing in our collective Cheerios, I'll wait and see if he is active but it sounds like he will be. I can see it already, MJD plays two snaps and tweeks the hammy and then Todman goes off

I can see it too. If it wasn't championship week I'd play Todman still. I'll go Dennis Johnson instead.

From RotoWorld.

"Appearing on GameDay Morning, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the Jaguars are "optimistic" Maurice Jones-Drew (hamstring) will play Sunday against the Titans."

Yes stefania on fantasy football now thinks mjd won't have a full workload I get some points for return yards and todman was the primary kr guy before last week.
