I'm starting ***** over Andre Johnson Week 14 (1 Viewer)

I am scared to death that AJ will get shut down this week. Weather will be brutally cold (high of 15) and I see this having a big effect on the Texans passing game.

I might bench AJ for Bowe.

Anybody else worried?

I am worried for sure...playoffs and all, vjax exploding last night on my bench. But I am not benching AJ....dance with the girl you brought....i remember John Madden saying that once.

As for the temperature. Plax blew up last year for over 130 yards in the NFC east championship. Now I know you can't compare the Giants to the Texans, but AJ and Plax isn't a bad comparable.

Green Bay has had trouble shutting down #1 WR's this year. Even when they did (T.O.) Austin had a huge game. Green Bay's defense is a shell and Houston's offense is on fire. They won't stop Slaton so the passing game'll open up as well.

Starting Andre Johnson with confidence, and considering Walter as my WR2.

why reply if your tired of these postings??? AJ has one TD reception on the road this year. Match up in GB with cold weather should worry owners. Just curious if other AJ owners are considering alternatives.

I'm worried as an AJ owner. Schaub could be rusty. Weather might be a factor. My gut tells me to go with Lance Moore, but I prolly wont.I understand why people are worried. To just blindly start a player regardless of matchup/strength of D/weather is foolish IMO.

Weather: 0-5 wind chill & 10-15 mph winds. If you have another decent option, go with your gut. I'm 99.99999999 % sure I'm going with Moore. IMO he has a better chance to score.

GB is in a must win situation at home. I dont see another performance like the D had against N.O.

The intention of this post was not to ask for advice on which player to start. While AJ has been solid for most of the year, his road games have been very average. His road avg is 5 rec for 60 Yds and he has only 1 TD on the road as well. Factor in brutally cold weather and I think AJ has another one of those 5 for 60 days.

If you are not interested in AJ then just ignore the post and chat about OJ.

Wimps. Cold but sunny and not windy. If these guys are real football players it won't affect them. They can wear gloves.

Tampa is tough against the pass but that should be a close game which will require Smith to be involved heavily. Green Bay isn't a much better matchup either. Marshall hasn't had a good game in a month and no exceptional games since early this year. KC may be the game he explodes.Safe bet would be to start SS and AJ.Risk/Reward, bench AJ.

my opponent has Cutler, so that is another reason I am leaning towards Marshall. I know Marshall hasn't done well in ahwile, but it is not like he has ever been pathetic for the most part. He's usually had 80 yds even on bad days.
