I for one am sick of the grump gestapo around here who waste more energy on trivia like this (isn%t ) is a WDIS thread. in my mind it clearly is not.............he aint asking that question AT ALL, but is guaging our perspective for a very topical player. My biggest peeve about this forum is the self-riteous content gestapo. Now I agree that when a quetion OBVIOUSLY belongs on the other board that moderators should move it, but there are way too many self-appointed "content lawyers" on this board for my taste.FWIW im starting Johnson over C Perry and L White in one PPR league, and over Ryan Grant, Deangelo Williams , and J Stewart in another.

"I am starting ______ over ______" threads are just ways to get assurance that you started the right guy. Take it to the ACF, or buy an FBG subscription.

Already bought one.And while you may be right, I think just fueling the fire that's been burning since this thread was created isn't real productive.This guy has already been told that this is disguised as a WDIS post. Personally, I'm kind of interested to see who's on the train this year so much that they are starting him week 1... BUT, anyone can start CJ3 week 1 over a scrub, so it's interesting to see who's on board so much that they'd bench someone like Edge, Ronnie Brown, Ryan Grant, etc. Just if you don't have anything to ADD to the thread, and you see that people have already come at the OP for it looking like a WDIS thread, then don't post anything. Just a thought

You might be right, but i spend alot of time here in the Shark Pool, and i would prefer not to see the front page covered with these type of threads.

If you're going to swing for the fences, take a risk, might as well do it for week 1. Because if you lose, at least you'd get the best shot at getting that prized #1 waiver wire pickup (depending on your league waiver system of course) I'd start CJ3 over Edge too if I had that same choice...

Very understandable. I agree. This thread is not a WDIS thread, because he doesn't really ask for advice. I do agree, that it's a cleverly disguised one, as it's CJ3 owners seeking a sound conscience for starting him over a better RB. We need that sense of security that we aren't crazy and that others are doing the same.But at the same time, a thread like this doesn't reall cloud the front page. Top 10 threads, yes, but the last thread on the front page was last answered almost 3 1/2 hours ago. That's pretty long time ago, especially if you spend that much time on here. Just give this guy a break. No sense in jumping down his throat. I'm sure an admin can move this thread if it's deemed assistant coach forum material

Lots of people drinking the CJ kool aid. He may be something special but some people in here are making some patently stupid decisions to start him in a bad matchup over proven producers. Those people need threads like this. And others need threads to ridicule others.

I tend to agree with this

I think starting him over Edge is stupid. Starting him over Ryan Grant... while I am worried about his hamstring, I'm more worried about 8 points from CJ3. It's such a risky pick becuase we haven't seen him in a regular season game ever. I might stick with Grant, his bad hammy, and bad matchup and kick myself for not having the cohones to start CJ3... I'd rather do that than kick myself for benching a stud in favor of the flavor of the week.

I could not have said it any better myself. I have been a poster on this website since the beginning. One of the reasons I don't post as much as I used to is the anoying one liner responses like "move this to the WDIS board" to make themselves feel smug at night. This is clearly not a WDIS if you read it carefully. This is a very relavant thread on trying to see who else is on board with starting him week 1 and who they planning to bench other than some scrub who'd get benched anyway. If you don't have anything worthwhile to contribute please move on to the next post.
