Importing Teams Into MyFBG (1 Viewer)

Why is this not possible? One of FBGs competitors just rolled out a product where you can import your leagues from NFL.com, CBSSports, Yahoo, ESPN, MFL, RTSports, FFPC...

I love MyFBG but it's such a pain to manually manage my players so they're highlighted on the weekly cheatsheets. And the ability to import the whole league's rosters would be great for the Top 200 forward, etc. so it's easy to identify free agents. My main league moved from MFL a few years ago and I miss this functionality.

I just sort of assumed that all those major websites other than MFL didn't offer the capability to have their league info exported, which is why FBG never offered it, but obviously it's possible. This needs to happen like last week. It would add tremendous value to your already good product.

Bump for staffers or anyone else who knows how easy/hard this kind of thing would be to implement. This is really THE missing piece to the MyFBG product, since otherwise it really is a hassle to manually manage all of your teams.

In lieu of an import feature, perhaps FBG could at least redesign the way you create your "watch lists." The whole "long list of checkboxes, separate page per position" method isn't really that user-friendly. It would be easier to manage if it was a separate page per league, with dropdowns or something. It's great to have my players highlighted on the weekly cheatsheets but it's too much effort to keep those watch lists updated manually each week so it ends up being an unused feature.

Just my :2cents:

This is very hard to do for any site other than MFL. MFL makes it easy by providing XML feeds, all* other sites require a scraping of the content to pull the data. This is time consuming and very much prone to error. I am in no way connected to fbg so ymmv, but I would not hold my breath on this feature.

* There are a couple of additional sites that offer XML feeds, but only to "preferred partners".

I've asked for the same functionality in Lineup Dominator in the Application Forum.

At the very least, the ability for Lineup Dominator to communicate with MyFBG. That way you would only have to manage Lineup Dominator.

fbg is branding their name with fpc/ffpc. if rtsports is hosting fpc/ffpc for a while, i really hope to see an import feature for rts this season or next too.

At the very least, can't there be a button from Lineup Dominator that updates MyFBG appropriately? I understand the potential coding issues when dealing with various fantasy sites. But something like this would still save time. Like "Rate My Team" from DD, but takes the players and updates MyFBG after you specify which league it's for.
