Is the consensus that this will be RBBC, or is either seperating themselves as a clear cut starter??
The first part of it was right. Addai has been good in practice. It's just that Rhodes has been having nice practices too.Keys Myaths said:Can we not spread misinformation here?JetsWillWin said:Addai had a nice practice the other day - he is now entrenched the feature RB.
In fantasy, that's what scares me.I'd feel a lot safer with a Thomas Jones/Cedric Benson combo for the same price. The best pass blocker should win the job. If not then neither would be good when Manning goes down with an injury. If Addai doesn't do as well blocking he would be limited to the first two downs only.Better get em both if your going to get one of them.
The problem is Benson and Joes will come at a higher price than Addai and Rhodes. In fantasy, that's what scares me.I'd feel a lot safer with a Thomas Jones/Cedric Benson combo for the same price. The best pass blocker should win the job. Chi is a run dominated offense. Whoever gets the rock will score points. IND might go back to passing on every down.Really? I expect a LOT more production out of the Indy offense than the Chicago offense. And both TJ and Benson have been nursing injuries in preseason. I think Addai/Rhodes is a much better combo at this point.

Let's do it this way.Say you're right (I don't believe you are, but that's an ENTIRELY different discussion):Rhodes/Addai get 1600 yards and 12 TDs between them. (232 fantasy points, 14.5 PPG)Benson/TJ get 1300 yards and 8 TDs between them. (176 fantasy points, 11 PPG)Notice that those stats are VERY skewed toward Rhodes/Addai, as I want to grant your point as much as possible.HOWEVER:You know that either Benson or TJ will start before each week begins, and get 95% of those stats (which is what happened last year). You know that Rhodes/Addai will split carries, and you start the one that gets 70% of those stats (Again, I think I'm being generous here).Starting the Chicago RB: 10.45 PPGStarting the Indy RB: 10.15 PPGNot only do you gain 0.3 PPG, you save yourself the heartache of deciding WHICH RB to start each week. Ask any 2005 Tatum Bell owner how nice that is.Really? I expect a LOT more production out of the Indy offense than the Chicago offense. And both TJ and Benson have been nursing injuries in preseason. I think Addai/Rhodes is a much better combo at this point.
Jones might be a must lower risk now. Benson may be more seriously injured than advertised. A shoulder injury requiring him to be out at least 3 weeks sounds a lot like the same injury Kevin Jones and Mark Clayton had last year. Neither of the them played very well because they had to protect their shoulder. No way of telling until the season starts but without practice I see Jones as the starter. In fantasy, that's what scares me.I'd feel a lot safer with a Thomas Jones/Cedric Benson combo for the same price. The best pass blocker should win the job. Keys,Without referencing the 2005 season, convince me that the Chicago 2006 RB situation is more predictable than the Indy 2006 RB situation.Know?Let's do it this way.Say you're right (I don't believe you are, but that's an ENTIRELY different discussion):Really?
