My daughter got a TV for her room for Xmas.

I have a cable in that room from a long time ago.

Comcast wants $29 a month (if I'm reading the quote right) for a box.

I want a box for parental controls, etc.

I see Amazon sells digital converter boxes for about $40. Will that do what I need?

Or do those require an antenna?

I believe that they add like $10 for a box, but it all depends on the type of box. Are you getting her an HD DVR box or a generic box or just a converter so she can get the basics? Parental controls are a joke, just so you know.
