Has anyone been to Bucs camp...How Does Caddy look? Is he going to be the man again! I really like Caddy's upside and have traded for him for relatively low value in every league I am in. I may be too optimistic, but would love to see the old Caddy come out for the 2007 compaign! The Bucs should be ten times better, so I do think the Bucs will be near the goaline a lot more this year!Sarcasm aside, its a good question.![]()
It is Chucky..Perhaps Pittman's value should be bumped as well. The biggest concern with Caddy is his ability to stay on the filed. Getting more short yardage work will not help him. Not sure it hurts him but I'm thinking Gruden will want to find other options for short yardage plays. TE's might benefit as well.
I hope your right - I watched him tear apart my Bills - 2 years ago and started him that game and I'v been attached even when he has been stinking.Hopefully he can run over the Seahawks week 1.The Caddy is going to be a beast this year no doubtWe have 2 top talent guards in Joseph, and Sears whom immediately won the starting job. I have been reading the training camp reports daily, and they are saying these guys are really pushing back the D-line. As long as they stay healthy I think Caddy finishes as a top 10 back this year.
For you PPR guys, he has really been working on catching the ball this off-season.
...Mike Alstott's potential retirement puts the goal-line carries for the Bucs up for grabs. Don't expect Cadillac Williams to take them. His chronic neck problems don't lend themselves to battering for a couple yards...
That guy's quote makes absolutely no sense. Caddy's neck is ok to batter around between the 20's, but not inside the 10?For what it's worth, Will Carroll runs a regular column analyzing various injuries in the league and what sort of impact they're going to have on a player or a team. He writes an article for football and another for baseball, and has been doing it for years. He really knows his stuff. This is what he had to say on the matter:

When teams start playing their goal line defense between the 20s and Gruden starts running him up the middle against it, then suddenly Caddy's neck won't be okay to batter around between the 20s, either.Running between the 20s is about finding holes, getting to the corner, and making people miss. You can gain phenomenal yardage without ever having to lower your shoulder or run through people. When you get to the goal line, the box gets a lot more congested and people play a lot closer to the line of scrimmage. The defense gets a lot more compact, and you can no longer rely on running around people- at this point, the best scorers are the big, strong RBs who can lower their shoulder and push people around a bit. That guy's quote makes absolutely no sense.
