Patten puts Bowe on the bench today. Anyone else bumping his value?
Yes, because who wants the #1 target for the NFL's #1 passing offense in their lineup?Unless you're in a dyno and weak at WR, are in a very deep league, own Steve Smith, or have a WR injured Patten should not be in your starting lineup.
Right, with Colston out he's a terrible play in an offense that anemic.Unless you're in a dyno and weak at WR, are in a very deep league, own Steve Smith, or have a WR injured Patten should not be in your starting lineup.
I wouldn't be so sure they'll pass as much without Colston, Springs being active or inactive may dictate how much NO passes this week.Yes, because who wants the #1 target for the NFL's #1 passing offense in their lineup?Unless you're in a dyno and weak at WR, are in a very deep league, own Steve Smith, or have a WR injured Patten should not be in your starting lineup.
Yes, I'm sure that instead they'll rely on their oh-so-potent running game.I wouldn't be so sure they'll pass as much without Colston, Springs being active or inactive may dictate how much NO passes this week.Yes, because who wants the #1 target for the NFL's #1 passing offense in their lineup?Unless you're in a dyno and weak at WR, are in a very deep league, own Steve Smith, or have a WR injured Patten should not be in your starting lineup.
Springs is active and is at/near 100%. He practiced all week.I wouldn't be so sure they'll pass as much without Colston, Springs being active or inactive may dictate how much NO passes this week.Yes, because who wants the #1 target for the NFL's #1 passing offense in their lineup?Unless you're in a dyno and weak at WR, are in a very deep league, own Steve Smith, or have a WR injured Patten should not be in your starting lineup.
Did I say he was a terrible play? I'm just saying benching one of your studs for him is a bad move imho.Right, with Colston out he's a terrible play in an offense that anemic.Unless you're in a dyno and weak at WR, are in a very deep league, own Steve Smith, or have a WR injured Patten should not be in your starting lineup.

Excuse me for thinking a bit outside of the box, I'll revert back to 'groupthink' just to make you happy. In my 12-tem league that starts 3 WR's, I have Patten in over Berrian and Derrick Mason (bye week). I had him over Mason even before Ike forced a bye.Excuse me for thinking a bit outside of the box, I'll revert back to 'groupthink' just to make you happy. Look, it's not a matter of "don't think outside the box" but to come into the thread and say, categorically, that most people should not have Patten in their lineup when he's the #1 receiver today on the Saints seems shortsighted an silly, especially when you give no reasons for that in the post. And then to say they'll pass less, well.... I don't know how much Saints football you've watched the past few years, but the offense goes through Brees. Period. Frankly, I hope they do run more, because I think they need to to win. But I find it highly unlikely that they'll run so much more as to affect the passing game heavily.Excuse me for thinking a bit outside of the box, I'll revert back to 'groupthink' just to make you happy. I wouldn't start him over Bowe.I'm sitting Crayton for PattenPatten puts Bowe on the bench today. Anyone else bumping his value?
would not go with patten over Bowe. i just lost my wr1 and wr2 in Andre Johnson and Colston, gotta go with Patten today.I wouldn't start him over Bowe.Patten puts Bowe on the bench today. Anyone else bumping his value?
I think Bush, Shockey, and Pierre will see an increased workload. Patten may be the #1 WR but I think he's option #4 in that offense today, and Springs is a much better CB than Patten is WR.Benching a Santonio Holmes, Dwayne Bowe, or Braylon Edwards for the #1 Saints WR that's not Colston seems short sighted to me.Look, it's not a matter of "don't think outside the box" but to come into the thread and say, categorically, that most people should not have Patten in their lineup when he's the #1 receiver today on the Saints seems shortsighted an silly, especially when you give no reasons for that in the post.Excuse me for thinking a bit outside of the box, I'll revert back to 'groupthink' just to make you happy. He has a hard time catching normal passes, the circus ones he's $$$ on. Yea, I know, doesn't make any sense. Any other WR may be negatively impacted by the inclement weather but it wouldn't surprise me if Braylon's fine.shortsighted in normal weather conditions but with rain and 30 mph winds it will be hard to pass/catch. Braylon has a hard time catching in normal weather
Haha. I'm in same boat. I drafted Colston, A. Johnson and Roy Williams. If someone told me on a few days ago that M. Jones and Patten were starting for me this week I would have been blown away.I thought I would be starting Holt and Andre Johnson this week and a couple of weeks ago I would be confident in this stud WR lineup.
As of now have two waiver wire WRs in Matt Jones and David Patten going today.
I think I'm going to be sick. :X

I'm starting Lav Coles over David Patten this week. Patten has an okay match-up but the Jets sound like they are going to pass in the red zone this week...and I'm guessing Coles gets one of those TD's.BeaverBoy said:another one over Coles

Champ Bailey was on him and Patten's not that good. What the heck happened to Patten yesterday? I didn't watch the whole game, but I flicked over to it and I didn't even see him on the field. Skimmed thru the game and injury thread and didn't see his name. Anyone who watched have any input?
That's what I noticed to. He wasn't hurt or anything. When I did see him on a few snaps in the game Bailey was not on him.For much of the second half, he didn't even look to be in the game.
Saw more 2 TE and Moore/Henderson sets, perhaps the staff thought those two were playing better than Patten? For much of the second half, he didn't even look to be in the game.
Played him, and it was fugly. One NFLN clip showed coach Payton yelling @ Patten, so maybe he screwed something up and earned some bench time. Also seemed like L Moore was targeted early and often - catching about everything thrown in his direction. That's what I noticed to. He wasn't hurt or anything.
