That does not sound interesting at all.   I've seen and heard enough of drunk coke-heads arguing.  What about that anecdote makes you think it would be at all interesting in a film?

Exactly.  If it was rated R we wouldn't have bothered to see it.  He was bi-sexual and contracted the disease.. we get it.  I was interested for the story of the band and how that all unfolded.

Never said they needed to show it. Just that the Relationship Bowie and Mercury had was pretty prevalent and they apparently failed to show that.

It’s not like they hid the fact that he was gay and partied hard - I just don’t get the criticisms on how the story was whitewashed and sanitized. Guess what? After I saw it two of my friends asked me if it was appropriate for them to bring their sons (age 11 and 12) with them and I was able to answer “yes” - with the caveat that he kisses two men and you see some coke on a table. Increasing your potential audiancesounds like smart marketing to me.

Did those people criticizing the PG-13 rating need to see him humping one of those mustachioed gentlemen or blowing a line off their ### to make the movie more realistic and reflective for them?
