Movies currently in theaters - Worth going? Stay home? Rent later? (1 Viewer)

We are simple creatures- give us dinosaurs, Kong, and/or Godzilla and we are there.

Not all of us....

F1 was fine. Glad I saw it on the big screen and the racing scenes were pretty cool but it isn't a memorable movie at all. Glad I went on half-price Tuesday. The big beer and the reclining seats are really nice feature. What took so long?

Jaws 50th anniversary re-release coming out in IMAX on Aug 29 for only a week. Will be going to that for sure.

Using the general "we", gb. I mean general Amercian theater visitors.

I know what you meant. I also recognize I'm not normal. I haven't had an interest in monster/dinosaur/BIG BUDGET movies in decades.

But I did enjoy Maverick and to a lesser extent, F1. Like my relationship status on social media, I'm complicated.

Same way for the most part. I see that stuff with the kids, otherwise i wouldn't bother. I have been surprised with some, but the hit rate is still low enough for me to not seek it out. I had fun with Skull Island, for example.

I watched Wonder Woman with my daughter hoping we'd be able to bond over it. Might have been one the dumbest movies I've ever seen. I just can't with those. She didn't like it either.

Dc stuff is pretty terrible. My son liked marvel so we watched a lot of those. I liked Winter Soldier and Spider-Man, but mostly got bored as they chased around space for their colored orbs in other movies. Thor and GotG are definitely not my jam.
