Is Jimmy Clausen another Jeff George? (1 Viewer)

Yes, he did say "miscommunication", but he also blamed the interception on the WR. He did both. Whether it was or wasn't he shouldn't have done that, EVER.
I generally enjoy your posts JohnnyU, but you're making a HUGE mountain out of a molehill that doesn't even exist here. Mindblowingly so really. In fact, I would have thought much worse of Claussen had he not explained what really happened and just lied about it instead.

Thanks for your candor, but something sure is making GMs back off of him.

It's insane the steal that some team is about to get.STL's Bradford pick looks even more ridiculous now, knowing they could've had Suh and Clausen.
Maybe they, like all of the other teams in the first round, aren't high on Clausen, especially compared to Bradford. I can't fault them in what they did if they believe in Bradford.
I thought the pick was suspect at first because of McCoy (who they would've known had a great chance to be there at 2).Maybe they believe Bradford's far better than Clausen or McCoy. Obviously, they aren't alone in that thinking.Personally, I just have a real hard time believing that Bradford (plus whoever) is worth Suh plus McCoy or Clausen.Bradford seems like a wonderful kid and he's got a hell of an arm, but I just wouldn't feel comfortable burning a #1 pick on a QB who essentially only played in 2 college seasons, mostly because he kept getting hurt when actually did get hit.Maybe it doesn't mean anything to others, but to me, it says alot that Bradford got sacked as many times in his entire college career (35) as Clausen did in his Freshman year alone. Clausen held up. Bradford didn't.People are worried about Clausen's attitude, but I don't know that Bradford's been tested enough to really know what his attitude's like. What would he do when his team's crumbling around him and can't protect him (besides get hurt)? We have no idea.

I understand what you're saying if it was a real film room with a real coach with a real team. Then you know it's staying in-house. He knew his answers would be for everyone to see. That's a bit different IMO.
