17 for 38 against BAL? Could be worse ... How about 14 for 41 against BUF14 for 24 against ATL15 for 39 against KCCOoohhhh ... You're wondering what those numbers are. That's 3 of LTs games last year. I drafted him last year hoping that he was not washed up ... but he was.Now he is a year older and injured ... how much better do you think it's going to get?
Those are bad, but clearly nowhere near as bad as that 17 carries for 7 yards stinkbomb he put up against the Eagles in 2005. Real sharks knew he was washed up back then and have been avoiding him ever since, because he clearly didn't have it anymore. I mean, sure, they missed out on his 31 TD season, but the writing was on the wall, and they'll be the ones with the last laugh.Speaking of the writing being on the wall... anyone remember Adrian Peterson's 21 carries for 32 yards against the PATHETIC New Orleans Saints last year? He's washed up, too. Avoid at all costs.
ironically to my madden analogies, in all the years I have restored the roar (lions franchise) I often end up signing Michael Bennett, as he was the fastest free agent/option available (depending on the year)
Which again just proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that you shouldn't be making real-life NFL judgments based on what works in Madden. Just because really, really fast guys with no vision, patience, or creativity are great players in Madden doesn't mean they are in the NFL, any more than really tall really fast WRs with terrible hands and no route-running skills are great players in the NFL (see: Jones, Matt).
