Can we go back to two offseasons ago when people were saying stuff like "you gotta ride this stud to titles, rebuilding never wins, blah blah blah".
This is the deal, when Calvin was 29 when this thread really started, it was the ideal time to sell Calvin, and that is even if he had been performing well the past 2 years. The fact that he hasn't done a lot means those people who did sell made out like BANDITS. Even if Calvin had been balling like the Calvin of old, and assuming people did get a nice haul for him, you would still be in decent shape.
When a stud is about to turn 30 and you can get a nice big haul for him, you have to do it, no matter the player. There may be an occasion where it ends up not helping you overall, but that has to be about a 10% chance.
I can't wait to do the same when guys I have like Green and Julio hit 29

Now it's 'a couple of steps'. Guys who lose a couple of steps do not get double teamed all game. Understand that Caldwell is not going to throw into a double team down the field, period. He's a weak coach who takes no chances. Caldwell has lost many games with this philosophy. Weak Ds's they can beat, middle of the road and above they cannot. Good teams can beat Caldwell's strategy. This may save the loser's job but it is a losing strategy.
