Is Tarvaris Jackson worth having on a dynasty roster (1 Viewer)

He is an interesting play tonight before he makes his forst start. Next yr he could be the full time starter and then he could have the job for years. The potential alone makes him valuable. Now that value could wither or it could succeed making him a steal off the wire.

Or do you think players like Frye, Garrard, Losman, etc are better plays. A little older, more experience but none are secured. Losman is probably #1 and then the next 3 guys (along with 10 other players) are probably tied.

I gotta say this kid has some potential. He looks like he has all the tools. But this Vikings team needs some WRs despearately. They could have the worst WRs in the league.

In a dynasty, i think it totally depends on what your current Qb depth is like. If you're looking to fill out your QB4 spot and you've got some legit studs in front of him, then sure roll the dice on Jackson and see if he can fullfill even some of that potential. But if you're in need of a decent QB2 to pair with your aging starter, then you're probably better off going with someone like Losman. The fresh new guy is always exciting, but he hasn't had a chance to go through the ups and downs of being an NFL QB. Give him a year or two, and then see where the kid is at. As it stands, you'll have to roster him for that long to see any kind of benefit. Especially with the current state of the Viking receivers.
