is the Shark Pool forum for paid subscibers? (1 Viewer)

Hey Vichawkfan,

The forums are, and always will be, 100% free. It's part of the broader football community and we think keeping them for subscribers only would be doing everyone a big disservice. While we certainly think we offer exceptional value to justify our annual fee, we understand that a lot of people are unable or unwilling to pay for their information. We're cool with that.

Even though we've moved to the premium portion of the season, there are a host of free features including:

*** The Footballguys Blog

*** The Footballguys News Database

fair enough - I just like to have an edge vs the competition......maybe give the magazine away for free every year. Info gets outdated and here it's like watching everything unfold as it happens. That's value.

If you have a subscription and your competition doesn't, you have a HUGE advantage over them.

I do subsdcribe - a newbie, so I'm going to take your word for it. I've been a paying subscriber on about 5 different sites over the years, and this one is top notch. Tons of info, it's mind boggling. Keep it up please!

Wouldn't you rather beat the competition because you're better at doing your own player analysis rather than because you knew of the best way to spend $25? NOt saying you shouldn't drop $25 on the subscription, because it's worth every penny... but come on...

Maybe some consider the subscription a big part of their input into their "own player analysis" and therefore can easily justify the cost. While at the same time considering a subscription a huge advantage over their competition. Even if only for the fact of time savings to compile the information necessary to, again, "do their own projections".

I wasn't going to bother saying as much, but since you did - well said. Also, I'm a huge NFL fan, and research allows me to get the most out of my favorite sport during pre-season.
