The more refined my palate gets, I find myself barely using catsup. Even on fries or a basic burger I prefer some sort of homemade thousand island dressing (catsup, mayo, and relish) and I will actively try to find other options at restaurants.

My kids still eat a lot of it though and prefer Heinz. Though I be they cannot distinguish between Heinz and Hunts. Nonetheless, the only bottle we have on hand at home is Heinz.

Nothing comes close to Heinz. Something about that tang and aftertaste that no other ketchup can replicate. I'll occasionally use Primal Kitchen for unsweetened and healthy ketchup but their comps like Hunts and Del Monte are absolute rubbish.

Only time I'll eat ketchup is when Mrs Keerock mixes up some brown sugar/ketchup glaze for the top of meatloaf. Other than that 🤮

Hunts is gross.

Was at a fancy grocery store a while back and had to buy their store brand organic/low sugar version and it was inedible. Terrible consistency, tasted like crap. Never again.

We have Heniz at home but I usually like if restaurants have their own spin on it. I don't use it a lot and usually will put some type of hot sauce mixed in to use as a dippin sauce. I really like the @Hot Sauce Guy Year of the Dog version mixed in for fries.

Ketchup is one of the few products in which I have significant brand loyalty towards, entirely due to the taste.

Heinz is the only choice for me based on that.

It's probably been years since I used ketchup on anything at home. We buy Aldi brand for our 8 year old. Only time I can think of having it elsewhere is this irish joint that bakes a homemade spicy ketchup within their meatloaf or if we're at a cookout with limited options.

The Whataburger spicy is quite good.
This is the best ketchup. I came in ready to be like "the best one isn't even in the poll" but it was rightly an option.
Can you buy this at a grocery story/online? Or is it only available at restaurants?
I get it at Central Market. I think HEB carries it. I'm not sure if the ketchup has hit other stores but I've seen their buffalo sauce and jalapeno ranch in Krogers.

Luma

started off as primarily vegan/plant based. about a year or ago they expanded their menu for high quality proteins as well. it has become one of our favorite lunch spots (need to get over there for dinner again).

as i do not like eggs, i often get one of their sandwiches/burgers.. with steak fries. i typically prefer shoestring, but these are sensational...and served with a wonderful homemade ketchup.

Whataburger Spicy is my go-to for fries & tots but that's about the only thing I ever eat with ketchup. Don't like it on burgers or anything else, and my wife uses BBQ sauce on her meatloaf so I can't think of any other time I ever reach for ketchup except for fried potato dipping.

If Heinz ever made a spicy version I'd prefer it I'm sure

Sir Kensington's is the best ever made. It's got a bit of allspice flavor to it that works really well. They built the entire company around the catsup and then sold it to Lever. Lever has now decided to discontinue the catsup in favor of higher margin mayo based sauces. I've horded as much of it as I can.

Though, I can get behind variations of homemade ketchups
This. Love when places have some interesting chef made ketchup stuff

I've seen a variety of Heinz on the shelf: sriracha, chili, mayo, wasabi, chipotle, etc

Rarely use ketchup, but only buy Heinz and am usually disappointed if I'm eating out and they serve something else.

Local Grocery store down here (Publix) has their Organic Ketchup and it is better than anything else out there.

If you blind tested me and had me take 100 bites with ketchup there's no way I'd be able to tell if it was 100 different ketchups or the same ketchup 100 times.

They all taste exactly the same.

I guess we all have different palates but I could tell you Heinz 100/100 times. Suppose its similar to folks who can't tell the difference between Coke, Pepsi, etc.

Yeah, most healthy ketchup is garbage. Heinz makes a great sugar free version that tastes the same and Primal Kitchen's version is decent if you don't want artificial sweeteners.
