Issue with MFL waivers (1 Viewer)

Everything worked fine all season but now players aren't locking.  Our season ran from weeks 1 - 16, but we run one final waivers on Jan 3 after week 17.  The league calendar says lock players today at 1:00 pm but players aren't locked.  Here is my league calendar setups.

Lock All Free AgentsSun Sep 10 1:00:00 p.m. ET 2017 (Happens 16 more weeks.)

Process Blind Bid WaiversWed Sep 13 9:00:00 p.m. ET 2017 (Happens 16 more weeks.)

Unlock All Currently Locked PlayersWed Sep 13 9:00:00 p.m. ET 2017 (Happens 16 more weeks.)

Anyone else having issues with this if you also run waivers again after your league season is over?

Just go into the calendar and create an event No Add/Drops to run in the next 15 minutes or go into Commish Setup -> Abilities and uncheck Perform Add/Drops.

Your unlock happens 3 days after your lock does.
You don't understand.  This has worked fine all season but it isn't locking players even though the calendar said to lock them.  Actually I had it to not lock players until Tues morning all season but the setup in the league that says not to allow picking up players if their game has started prevented anyone from adding players after their game started, but that no longer works and I believe it's because our season is over.  So I moved it back to Tuesday morning to lock players, but it still shouldn't allow picking up players who's game played today but it does.

I just now did a test to lock all free agents Jan 1 12:00 am et, which expired some 40 minutes ago, and it still won't lock players.  Anyone know why that happens?  Our settings have worked fine all season until now.  We run waivers on Wednesday morning then it's FCFS until all players lock again on Tues morning at 7:00 am.  The other setting in basic add/drop setups Prevent Owners From Making ANY Add/Drops Between Kickoff of that player's  is set to "Yes" and that had always prevented anyone from picking up players who's game has started.  This quit working today and now allows pick up of players who played today.  Our season ended last Sunday.  We wanted to run a last waivers after week 17 even though our season ended after week 16.

It's not supposed to lock them.  You told it to unlock them without a lock event following it.

Lock Sep 10
Unlock Sep 13

So they are still unlocked from 16 weeks after Sep 13.

Locking isn't a window, it's an event.  Set it to lock at 12:45 (or if you miss that, 1:00 AM).  Once that tick of the clock happens they should lock.

Actually our lock happens on Tuesday (disregard the 1:00 pm et Sunday in the original post, I was playing with it)..  So according to you our lock should happen just fine on Tuesday morning at 7:00 am (when it is set), but tell me why this setting no longer works Prevent Owners From Making ANY Add/Drops Between Kickoff of that player's "YES".  The league has always prevented players from being picked up if their game has already played.  Is this because our season ended last week?

My only guess is that MFL identified Week 17 to end much earlier that most weeks since there is no Monday night game.  Were they able to make pickups during the actual games, or did you notice this say after 7:00 PM or so?

I just noticed that I was able to pick up a player who's game played today and then started playing with the lock.  I put the lock back to Tuesday where it always has been but still don't understand why I was able to pickup a player who's game has played when in other weeks the system prevented it.

Again just a guess, but I think it's because it considers week 17 over so it's allowing the pickup based on it being Week 18 on their calendar.  I bet, based on your settings, someone could have some in late Monday night/early Tuesday morning (after MFL decided the week was over - I do not know when that it) before your locking event and snuck in a FCFS claim.

Ok, locking worked at 1:15 AM like it should.   MFL's setting Prevent Owners From Making ANY Add/Drops Between Kickoff of that player's quit working after the season has played with no Monday night game for week 17.  I set player to lock at 1:15 AM ET and it worked, so I'll need to set players to lock on week 17 at 1:00 pm ET to prevent this next year.

Thanks for your help Hankmoody.

I think this is right.  My league locks Monday night at the start of the game, so that owners can pick up FA and Monday players until kickoff.

Usually MFL posts its final league report Tuesday morning and things roll to the new week.  That report came out earlier tonight this week, and probably reset the flag of "player has already played."

A classic case of something MFL should think of and take care of for us, but their system is so antiquated that these sorts of things pop up.

Ftr - you can going an manually lock all players instead of creating an event.

I found this out when waivers ran a day early by my scheduling mistake and everyone could be picked up.
