Its About that time... 3 BOLD Predictions for Fantasy Football 2024 (1 Viewer)

3. A healthy Aaron Rodgers leads the Jets to the exact same record they had in 2023, their players all disappoint in fantasy

Cmon - Hall was a beast coming off knee surgery & with a rogue’s gallery at QB.
Not the same record as last year, that's for sure.
Yeah, I admit my expectations were low, but damn if ARod failed to meet even those. Lmao
I can't believe I posted that and somehow still overestimated the Jets...

At least 2 rookie QBs score more fantasy points than CJ Stroud.
So far so good with Nix and Daniels both beating him. There just isn't a learning curve in the same way their used to be so I believe QBs show you who they are quickly now and don't change much from that. I don't expect either Nix or Daniels to take an additional leap next year just like Stroud didn't this year. Sure, their are exceptions, but this is the new normal imo.
Not to call back a post from over 2 months ago, but I’m not so sure that I agree about QBs showing who they are right away. I do think we’ve seen some way better than usual rookie QB play the last 2 years, but we’ve also seen some huge steps forward from guys like Gino Smith, Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield. We even saw some glimpses from Bryce Young that he might be figuring things out a bit.

Maybe the biggest common denominator is that organization, surrounding talent, and offensive line matter a lot. If there’s a deficiency at one of those, a young QB is going to take some lumps. If there’s more than one deficiency, not good at all for a young QB and we may not get a good read on who they really are. I mean, not a surprise that the four players I mentioned were drafted by the Jets, Browns and Panthers with a stint on the Panthers thrown in for Darnold and Mayfield for good measure.

Jordan Love finishes with few TD passes, fewer yards, and more interceptions than last year.
Neither Bijan Robinson nor Kyle Pitts are top 10 in their positions this year.
Ladd McConkey finishes as a top 10 PPR receiver, having a season similar to Puka last year.
Jordan Love finishes with few TD passes, fewer yards, and more interceptions than last year. Success(ish), had 8 fewer TDs, 800 less passing yards and the same INTs.
Neither Bijan Robinson nor Kyle Pitts are top 10 in their positions this year. Fail, Bijan was clearly top 10
Ladd McConkey finishes as a top 10 PPR receiver, having a season similar to Puka last year. Fail, he finished WR14 in my PPR league and had 23 less catches, 330 less yards, and one more TD than 2023 Nacua.

Puka comes back down to earth. Kupp reminds him who the real alpha is.

K9 is a top 5 RB and we can all agree Charbs is (and always was) a backup.

Jacobs contends for #1 RB in PPR leagues

Jacksonville hits on all cylinders and wins the division

Kincaid = #1 TE

Montgomery outscores Gibbs

ARSB leads league in receptions
Swing and a miss

Sigh, ok:
1. Cooper Kupp plays 16 games, is WR7, finishing ahead of Puka.
2. KWIII is a top 4 PPR RB
3. DKM finally has his complete year, 1000+ ReYd, 10+ TD, 100+ receptions.

Go Seahawks, I guess?

Ps - bonus, TLaw is a top 8 FF QB.
Hard to go 0-4, but I really stepped up here and whiffed 4x.

How's this for bold?

- No kicker makes one from past 63

Brandon Aubrey makes one from 70+

2) Chubba Hubbard is still the starter in week 10, Brooks doesn't see the field until week 12 and only gets a minority share the rest of the year.
3) Bryce Young is a viable QB committee member and flirts with top-12

Brandon Aubrey makes one from 70+
They tried!

I feel like I was on target with all of them... Aubrey attempted one at least. Hubbard was never threatened by Brooks. And once Bryce Young regained his starting job after the benching, he did deliver near top-12 the last few weeks of the season.

Breece Hall is a bust
RB 18 in standard and RB 16 in ppr, was I kind of right?
I have a feeling I'm going to be targeting a lot of Hall next year, especially if his value slipped. I see it similar to Taylor. He has top 5 upside and hopefully a new offense is coming.
It's possible but I'm not so sure. I think if the Jets keep Rodgers then he'll be a bargain but I think if they jettison him I think the narrative will be "it's a new offense so Hall will return to glory!" and he'll still be a drafted as a top 5 rb.

Yeah, have to wait and see how things shake out.

What I do still believe in is the talent. A couple injuries and a mess of a system held him back this year. No doubt people are upset.

I still view it similar to JT - insanely talented and still young. Maybe if he's soured on the Jets he can find a new home somewhere. Or maybe the Jets fix their crap (lol - we can hope).

I still believe in the talent.
