It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (1 Viewer)

Didn't care for the Malcom episode much, but the Chess/SINNED and Risky Rat episodes were some of their better ones lately.

Only 6 episodes this season? What gives?

It seems unfair they call IASIP the "longest running live-action sitcom" when it's on season 16 but has only made 168 episodes. Sure, they beat Ozzie and Harriet's 14 seasons... but they made 435 of those. Even Happy Days made 250.

Season 16 Episode 8 was terrible.
The CGI at the end was laughably bad.
This will likely go down as the worst episode ever.

Surprised by your reaction to it - I thought it was one of the better ones of this season. Most of their episodes aren't relatable at all but this one was - most of the things enraging Dennis as things that would make most of us angry.

And the twist in the end made the CGI meaningless - it was just a daydream. Who cares if the CGI was poor?

That was based on a real life event. Glenn Tesla? died or something in a parking garage and he couldn't get cell service to override the key or something

Spoiler: Spoiler
I kept thinking to the very end that this should have been a Charlie episode, that it fit him perfectly and Dennis, not at all.

Really? I had the exact opposite feeling - it fit Dennis perfectly. Get angry at the stupidity of others, thinking he’s smarter than everyone. Trying to suppress his rage. I mean, I almost think you are joking as I just don’t see it.

This season has been great, still a few episodes to go for me. Last one I saw was the Risky Rat one

Definitely had some really good episodes and overall I enjoyed it a lot. The Frank v. Russia was an instant classic for me. The acting Devito does at the end was just hysterical. The inflection in his “hey-o” where it was a cross between pain and pleasure was :lmao:

Danny DeVito turns 80 with accolades from ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ co-stars

Actor Danny DeVito had a very “sunny” birthday Sunday, with his long-running comedy and its co-stars celebrated.

“This man was born 80 years ago today,” the “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” creator and co-star Rob McElhenney wrote on Instagram. “He could still drink you under the table. He could still make you laugh harder than anyone you’ve ever met. He could still make you feel like you’re the only person in the room. He could still give you the best advice you’ve ever gotten and make you feel loved no matter what. He’s an American treasure. There is only one Danny DeVito. Happy Birthday!!!!”

DeVito plays businessman Frank Reynolds on the long-running sitcom, which wrapped its 16th season last year and is in filming number 17. The Hulu series has been renewed through season 18 and is the longest-running non-animated sitcom in television history.

Worth a birthday shout out to Frank Reynolds, one of the best characters in TV history. Can't wait for the next season.

That was beautiful.

And the IG comments were funny. You post a pic of a man of a certain age, and people freak out until they read the rest.

Quick note that this season of IASIP will feature a crossover episode with Philly-based Abbott Elementary. A January episode of the ABC sitcom will feature the IASIP cast, and then an IASIP episode early in their season will cover the same story from The Gang's perspective.

Tangential at best, but I'm finally watching A.P. Bio on Netflix and it is hilarious. Sure Howerton is channeling a little lot of Dennis Reynolds, but since when is that a bad thing?
Patton Oswald, as well as the rest of the adult supporting cast, is OK. But some of the students are outlandishly good.

Love this show and can't wait for the new season. They totally redeemed themselves with season 16 after a couple weaker seasons. Micheal Jordan powersuit and Dennis' high blood pressure were classics.

Hell, i even named my dog Dennis, because of the implication.....

Season 17 trailer. Can't wait.

Dee looks rough these days.

Has she had some work done?

Can’t believe DeVito is still doing it.
The first part of that trailer was a little shocking, but she seemed to look better later in it. Maybe it was for a bit?

Edit. With a second viewing i guess its not for a bit.

Cockchewah "her catch phrase is chew on that thang" :lmao:
