Jamaal Charles support thread (1 Viewer)

Anyone hear ANDY Reid's comments after the game?

Basically said Jamaal should be the MVP and he's pulling for him to get it. He's probably in line for another big game though expecting a repeat is unrealistic.

 
Jamal is a magnificent ******* and I'll hate this day he had forever. Had to play against him in two of my three leagues. I was so psyched to still be alive in all three, and hit the buzz saw. I actually still have a long shot chance to win in one of them depending on tonight's game. Confidence is not high though. Looking probable to make it to superbowl in my third league so I'm not completely dejected.

 
I played against JC, Romo, Dez, Gordon and Seattle D... but I still have a chance with Megatron and Tucker tonight... I will admire his performance much more is I am able to run this week :-)

had him in one league...

threw up in my mouth in another where i drafted... gulp t-rich over him...

would of been in the finals if i took j charles everything else the same.

cue the .. no one gives a shyt!!

 
I was the #1 seed and won the regular season points total by 180 pts (non-PPR).

Ran headfirst into Foles and Charles this weekend. Got great production out of all my guys, scored 135 pts (my average is 117), but my opponent set the league record with 205 thanks to these two.

I can't even be mad. I could have played my entire team and not been able to win this week...

Depends a lot on the scoring system - for non PPR where QB TDs are worth 4 points, probably in the top 5 or so.

6 PT QB TDs open up a lot of QBs to monster days. In my league, for example, Manning had 73 pts in week one, Charles had 57 yesterday.

High up, for sure. Maybe top based on scoring, considering how many of those were long TDs.

The best I remember (and I remember mostly from bringing it up after Peyton's week 1) is Clinton Portis. On 12/7/03 he had 218 rushing, 36 receiving and 5 TDs, for 54 points to Charles' "mere" 51 in the same system.

I know Priest holmes, Marshall Faulk probably had some monster days.... 05 priest holmes was ridiculous..........

I have a 3.8 point lead. He has Stafford and Akers, but I have Calvin. Basically I need Calvin to catch all the big throws from Stafford and I could win. What's killing me is that if Jamal "only" had a massive 30 point day, as opposed to his historic one, I'd be in fantastic shape to win.

Yea that's gonna be a tough one to pull out but it's possible.

 
Yeah, I have J.Charles in one of my leagues but that's not the best part. It's a deep 20 team IDP with a non-existing waiver market (top options on waivers are currently Felix Jones, Dennis Johnson and Jackie Battle...). Due to some injuries I was deciding between Turbin, Shonn Greene or Fozzy Whittaker as my second RB, but when the confirmation came on the Vikings' RB injuries I decided to grab Matt Asiata off waivers and put him in with J.Charles. :headbang:

 
I know Charles is amazing. But has anyone else noticed that Oakland's defense was nowhere to be found. Every replay I see has no one around for miles or awful angle picking and tackling. They are so inept, thank goodness I am not an Oakland fan. Pathetic.

 
Gave some serious consideration to trading JC for Ray Rice + some other considerations in a dynasty league prior to the start of the season. Didn't make the deal and am heading to the SuperBowl this week thanks to him.

Sometimes the best deals are the ones you don't end up making...

Given what Doug Martin did to them last year and Nick Foles just a couple of months ago, I think the Raider fans are used to these kinds of games against their defense. This must seem normal to them.

raiders are a pathetic organization and so are their fans generally speaking. Can we just kick them and the Jaguars out of the league?
 
How does everyone feel about this weeks matchup vs. Indy? I think it should be a good one. Indy's D ranks 19th overall and 27th vs. the run. On top,of that, they have an offense that can score on KC and keep the game close.

One more week of top production please, Jamaal!

 
Thank goodness for Charles.

I started Big Ben over Dalton (9 vs 19 points), and started the week with Gates/Woodhead combining for 5 points on TNF to start my two week final.

Murray got me 20, Bailey got me 24, and JC netted me 51.

I've got a comfortable margin (53 points) but that's not a lock for winning the league; fortunes could easily be reversed this week.
