17 carries already. Not sure he's going to be as fresh as you think.I like it. Keeps Charles fresh.i really hate their usage. knile davs just gets more touches and snaps than deserved.
no, i think the best players should get the touches while healthy and fresh in close games.really? you dont think he earned more carries? strangei really hate their usage. knile davs just gets more touches and snaps than deserved.
Translation.....i own Charles and he should play every second of every possessionno, i think the best players should get the touches while healthy and fresh in close games.really? you dont think he earned more carries? strangei really hate their usage. knile davs just gets more touches and snaps than deserved.
Andy Reid. There are plenty of positives about him being the head coach...and a few negatives.these are by far the most important plays of the game for the chiefs and their best player wasnt on the field for the last 6 plays. if hes not hurt then its completely indefensible.
Yeah but jurb26 and wiseoldowl told us that Kniles wouldn't eat into any of Charles' playing time once he returned.these are by far the most important plays of the game for the chiefs and their best player wasnt on the field for the last 6 plays. if hes not hurt then its completely indefensible.
Defense seemed to be all over him.its insane that Smith didnt even look at charles on that drive ...wow
24 touches. How many more do you expect? That's a good number.Yeah but jurb26 and wiseoldowl told us that Kniles wouldn't eat into any of Charles' playing time once he returned.these are by far the most important plays of the game for the chiefs and their best player wasnt on the field for the last 6 plays. if hes not hurt then its completely indefensible.
We didn't tell you that. Try your troll agenda so where else.Yeah but jurb26 and wiseoldowl told us that Kniles wouldn't eat into any of Charles' playing time once he returned.these are by far the most important plays of the game for the chiefs and their best player wasnt on the field for the last 6 plays. if hes not hurt then its completely indefensible.
Oh I agree. All I've been saying this entire thread is that Charles' workload would not be as it was in 2013. That was a once in a career situation that wasn't going to be repeated, despite the wish casting of some people in here.24 touches. How many more do you expect? You were saying? It's obvious you aren't paying any attention to the fact that Charkes work load is the same this game as it was last year.Ok, it's obvious you're a 12 year old. Enjoy the game.In 2013 Davis had 16% of the overall rushes for KC. In this game he has 3 out of 11 or 29%.What part of this aren't you getting?Uh, Charles has 8 touches and Davis has 3. And Davis has more yards.I own both so I have no dog in this fight. But to suggest that JC is not going to share time with Davis going forward is just not true.OMG, Charles is going to be in a timeshare with Davis when he comes back!!!!![]()
he's got more than 2x the touches.
not really getting better for you.
You think this helps your point? You were saying? It's obvious you aren't paying any attention to the fact that Charkes work load is the same this game as it was last year.Ok, it's obvious you're a 12 year old. I never said Knile wouldnt be a factor. I was only challenging your "Charles days of a fantasy stud being over" statement.Oh I agree. It's not.Charles was in my line up up for 16.7 points. Davis on my bench for 3.6. How is this a frustration for Charles owners?
He was 22/95 and a TD. I could give a crap less about Davis. The point's already been made, and supported by what has transpired since then. Charles is obviously not the 4 down bell-cow RB monster he was in 2013. He is not nearly as big a part of the offense as he was last year, to the point where in the all important waning minutes of today's game it was Davis getting the carries. You guys laughed at all of this a few weeks ago.

I think this is where the confusion lies. I never said #2.We seem to be arguing two different points. Here are the two statements you have made.
1) Charles will not be upwards of 33% of his teams total offense again, his role is going to be reduced for several reasons including Kniles competence.
I would agree with this, as would i think most reasonable people, I have also never argued against this.
2) Charles role will be reduced to the point where he is no longer a fantasy stud or top 5 fantasy back.
This is a terrible conclusion to come to and one I do not agree with.

Cant win an argument with Dr. ZaiusI think this is where the confusion lies. I never said #2.We seem to be arguing two different points. Here are the two statements you have made.

He got 67% of the rushes today. Same as it ever was.Charles had roughly 70% of RB rushes last year. At the half of the Patriots game, he had roughly 70% of RB rushes. Barring blowouts, he'll probably get 70% of the rushes. And be the passing back. He's a stud, plain and simple. If Reid's history is anything to take in to account, he likes a lead back. Davis will still get 5-10 carries a game but ideally, Andy likes having his lead back get about 18-25 touches (rush and catch) a game. I think as long as Charles is healthy, its still his show in the realm of 70-30 split.
Not sure where Andrew is getting his numbers from, but I am using pure rushing stats. Today he had 22 of the Chiefs' 39 carries, which is 56%. It's down a little from 2013 but not as much as it seems from watching the games.I think what makes it seem worse is his lack of utilization during key parts of the game, particularly the 4th quarter when they are trying to salt away the win.Except for the fact that's just not true at all. Here are Charles' percentage of rushing plays:2013 - 59%It's obvious you aren't paying any attention to the fact that Charkes work load is the same this game as it was last year.Ok, it's obvious you're a 12 year old. I'm not counting Smith's rushes. The 70% from last year didn't either. Not sure where Andrew is getting his numbers from, but I am using pure rushing stats. the only reason he had 70% last year was bc he didnt play in week 17. in games where both were active charles had 83% of the rb carries and 72% of the rb catches (didnt count mccluster. did count gray, sherman and knile)He got 67% of the rushes today. Same as it ever was.Charles had roughly 70% of RB rushes last year. At the half of the Patriots game, he had roughly 70% of RB rushes. Barring blowouts, he'll probably get 70% of the rushes. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/10/22/jamaal-charles-i-didnt-want-to-go-through-the-concussion-protocol/When Jamaal Charles scored a touchdown Sunday against San Diego, he had a violent collision with Chargers cornerback Brandon Flowers, sending both of them to the turf. Flowers left the game with a concussion, but Charles kept playing.
Maybe he shouldn’t have. Charles said on ESPN Radio that he was seeing flashing lights afterward, which is one of the symptoms of a concussion.
“It definitely hurt,” Charles said. “It’s like, I woke up — I mean, like, a couple plays later I was seeing light bulbs, like, light bulbs around my eyes, and I was trying to catch them. But I was in the game so I was like, ‘Alright, let’s get the ball and run again.'”
So why wasn’t Charles removed from the game? Charles said he tried to avoid having to go through the league’s concussion protocol. Charles previously suffered a concussion in January, in the Chiefs’ playoff loss to the Colts, and his absence from the rest of that game may have been the difference between the Chiefs winning and losing in Indianapolis. As a result, Charles said he doesn’t want to go through the concussion protocol because he wants to be able to keep playing to help his team.

But Chiefs started concussion protocol yesterday. Said charles passed all tests
I'd have no way of knowing, but I'd guess every week since the invention of footballI wonder how often this type of thing occurs? Players not taking it seriously and just playing through it, worried about not being able to finish the game or have to be sidelined for a coupel of weeks?
