I drafted last night and Green went at 4.08 in a 12 team ppr league. I was going to take Green at 5.04, but ended with Lewis there. I'd have been happy with either as a RB3, but in a ppr league I would always lean towards Green. The one thing that hasn't been mentioned much is that Lewis caught 3 balls out of the backfield in the first preseason game, so he maybe more involved in that aspect this year than he was with the Ravens. I think they will both finish pretty close at the end of the year, so it probably just depends on your league.Give me the Green $$$$$
I really like Lewis better, but he has 4 games vs the Ravens & Steelers. Green gets mostly cupcake Run D's (except the Jags). I also think Jamal is more likely to stay healthy. It's very close for me, and breaks out even:SOS- GreenO-line- JamalLeast Injury risk- JamalReceptions- GreenGL opportunities- JamalTeam offense- GreenIf your league awards anything for receptions, Green is the guy.
Houston has a more recent history of having a worthwhile RB fantsywise (DD). Cleveland's last worthwhile fantasy RB was......???I'd take Green.PPR, Green by two rounds.
Of course because last year Lewis looked horrible. It is a what have you done for me lately crowd. This is where value is found... Lewis is 27, Green 30.. Pretty young for a guy washed up.. Did you know he was fighting a bone spur last year?? Did you know he looks 100% and has show explosiveness?? Did you know Green won't get goalline?? I guess if you go by last year Green is the clear cut choice but every year is different.. Jamal Lewis reportedly has shown bursts of speed to the outside and caught the ball well at camp thus far.The Cleveland papers have talked up Lewis all offseason, but we remain unconvinced. He's getting drafted too early as a late RB2 in fantasy leaguesJamal Lewis says the bone spurs in his surgically repaired ankle are gone and he feels "so much better as far as making different cuts.""I'm making cuts I haven't really made in the last two years," he added. "By training camp, I'll be 100 percent. Right now, I'm probably around 85 to 90 percent, but I feel well." Lewis says new coordinator Rob Chudzinski's offense will show a little bit of everything and utilize a lead blocker.I'd go Green. I really think Jamal is finished.
Really?I thought the Browns OL was dropping like flies again this year.I really like Lewis better, but he has 4 games vs the Ravens & Steelers. Green gets mostly cupcake Run D's (except the Jags). I also think Jamal is more likely to stay healthy. It's very close for me, and breaks out even:

And, both RBs have had knee injuries kill a season. Why does Jamal have the least injury risk, in your opinion?
Overhyped? He is the undisputed starter for a team that has been fantasy friendly to far less talented backs than Green. And he is going around round 5.Not really a fan of either player but if I had to pick one it'd be Jamal Lewis because you can usually draft him later than Ahman Green who for many reasons is overhyped this season.
PPR, Green by two rounds.
