Jamal Lewis vs. Ahman Green (1 Viewer)

I am loking on targeting one of these two RB in the 5th round. They have roughly the same ADP and projections (1000 yds and 8 tds). Which one of these guys will have the better year? They both appear to be rejuvinated on their new teams.

Are those projections accurate?

Give me the Green $$$$$
I drafted last night and Green went at 4.08 in a 12 team ppr league. I was going to take Green at 5.04, but ended with Lewis there. I'd have been happy with either as a RB3, but in a ppr league I would always lean towards Green. The one thing that hasn't been mentioned much is that Lewis caught 3 balls out of the backfield in the first preseason game, so he maybe more involved in that aspect this year than he was with the Ravens. I think they will both finish pretty close at the end of the year, so it probably just depends on your league.

I really like Lewis better, but he has 4 games vs the Ravens & Steelers. Green gets mostly cupcake Run D's (except the Jags). I also think Jamal is more likely to stay healthy. It's very close for me, and breaks out even:

SOS- Green

O-line- Jamal

Least Injury risk- Jamal

Receptions- Green

GL opportunities- Jamal

Team offense- Green

If your league awards anything for receptions, Green is the guy.

I'd go Green. I really think Jamal is finished.
Of course because last year Lewis looked horrible. It is a what have you done for me lately crowd. This is where value is found... Lewis is 27, Green 30.. Pretty young for a guy washed up.. Did you know he was fighting a bone spur last year?? Did you know he looks 100% and has show explosiveness?? Did you know Green won't get goalline?? I guess if you go by last year Green is the clear cut choice but every year is different.. Jamal Lewis reportedly has shown bursts of speed to the outside and caught the ball well at camp thus far.The Cleveland papers have talked up Lewis all offseason, but we remain unconvinced. He's getting drafted too early as a late RB2 in fantasy leaguesJamal Lewis says the bone spurs in his surgically repaired ankle are gone and he feels "so much better as far as making different cuts.""I'm making cuts I haven't really made in the last two years," he added. "By training camp, I'll be 100 percent. Right now, I'm probably around 85 to 90 percent, but I feel well." Lewis says new coordinator Rob Chudzinski's offense will show a little bit of everything and utilize a lead blocker.

Really?I thought the Browns OL was dropping like flies again this year.

And, both RBs have had knee injuries kill a season. Why does Jamal have the least injury risk, in your opinion?

I would take Green Also. I'm a Jamal Lewis Owner and would gladly trade Jamal for Green. Probably would even throw in a late draft pick.

I've had enough of jamal, Show me the Green.

Green is the better player, period. Their situations are similar - little competition, mediocre at best lines and overall offenses. Green will get more receiving as well.

I took J. Lewis in a non-ppr league before Green. It was tough to decide between the two, but I like the way he looks. CLE has been plagued by injury, but did use the draft to help this offense. Houston on the other hand did very little.

I know ankle spurs can be a pain and limit range of motion. Because of the surgery he should have more power running the ball. I'm not thrilled to have him given CLE's track record with RBs, but was glad to have him as a #3 RB.

Texans OL can run block just fine.Green over Lewis, easy.

Take Lewis..there is one team he always kicks ### in....avg's. over 100 yds rushing and 2 TD's every year he played them...sorry forgot what team it was.

Not really a fan of either player but if I had to pick one it'd be Jamal Lewis because you can usually draft him later than Ahman Green who for many reasons is overhyped this season.

Cleveland's offense is a trainwreck. Jamal Lewis is toast. If ever there was the perfect storm of utter crap, this is it.

I'd go with Green but it's awful close and I love both guys to outperform their draft position. Green gets the nod because he is more useful in the passing game and has an much easier division to run in with only Jack as a run game killer vs. Balt and Pitt.

In truth I wouldn't want either one. In the 5th round there are many receivers I'd be interested in, I should have my rb #3 taken care of in one of the previous 2 rounds - I'd probably be happier rolling the dice with Julius Jones, DeAngelo Williams or Tatum Bell in round 6 than spend my 5th round pick on these guys, maybe even Brandon Jackson or Fred Taylor even later.

Overhyped? He is the undisputed starter for a team that has been fantasy friendly to far less talented backs than Green. And he is going around round 5.

Green all the way.

Texans RB's have been way productive last 2 years. Dayne, Lundy, and Domanick Davis (or whatever he calls himself these days) have always been solid. Cleveland RB's, well we know what they have done. And that QB situation is a mess there. It would seem Jamal should have plenty left in the tank give his age and "time off" from football, but he just hasn't shown much since the comeback.

I really like both, but I'd take Green in PPR. It's a lot closer than most of these guys are making it sound like though.
