Thoughts on his performance didn't see the game

Wondering the same thing...

All I know is that he started and had a good Week 1 outing (fantasy-wise). But I don't think anyone knows anything about him (where are you Jene?). My guess is that he'll have another solid game and everyone will be asking about him and he'll be a hot pickup. Pick him up and stash him. If he blows up, you'll look like you are a genius. If he falters, dump him. Somebody HAS to have some info on this guy (hmmmm... Jene...)

Only two of his tackles were inside the tackle box, the majority were ten yards past the line of scrimmage or deeper. Chargers snapped the ball almost 80 times and gave up 62 tackle opportunities (vs league historical average of 49). Sanford "won" the SS job, but Tyrell Johnson rotated in about 1/3 of the time last week. He's also got two very good CBs and a pretty solid set of LBs to compete with for tackles.

With the possible exception of Jon McGraw, every "breakout" safety this week has multiple issues unfortunately. I wouldn't trust Sanford as more than a bye week DB3.
