"We like Marshall as a No. 1 Fantasy wide receiver, and he's worth drafting as early as Round 3 or 4 as long as his hip is 100 percent."

as EARLY as round 3 or 4 for a no1 WR? for a beastly no1 WR? for a beastly no1 WR who reels in 100+ receptions a season w/bad QBs?

Id love to join the pool this goofball is in where marshall only BEGINS to get taken in round 3/4.

Perhaps he's taking into account:

1) Marshall is no longer with Denver (i.e. new team)

2) Marshall is kind of a misfit

3) The Dolphins aren't a very good passing team

4) He's averaged about WR6 over the last 3 years and expects his production to go down by maybe 10% which puts him down about WR12

5) The author prefers RB/RB drafting in the first 2 rounds

I don't think it's all that outrageous.

He later states he doesnt doubt Marshall to reach 100 catches, or end up as the no1 overall WR.

this all adds up to a guy you dont wait til the 3-4th round to take.

sorry.

Perhaps you missed the study that showed that CBS had the best overall rankings last year in terms of rankings compared to actual results. Also note that in redraft leagues the average FBG staffer rankings have Marshall at 29, which, depending on the size of your league would have him either in the middle or tale end of round 3. 3 out of the 11 FBG staff have him at 40+ which would put him in mid to late round 4.So in well fell swoop you have managed to insult not only CBS, but FBG rankings as well. Frankly, the commentary by Eisenberg seems dead on.

And if you insult Football Guys, haven't you then insulted THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!?!?!?!!I for one won't stand for this ... :o

First off, keep tugging it to CBS rankings... Secondly, dont try and garner support by saying I insulted FBG rankings either... That is such a teenage girl move. Thirdly, if you believe Marshall should fall to the 4th round you are beyond reasoning with.

I wouldn't have a problem with Marshall falling to the fourth round. Especially in non ppr leagues. Considering how close he is to getting a major suspension if he slips up, it's a legitimate concern to think he might not stay on the field. If other players fall in the rankings because of perceived injury risk, then there really isn't much difference when it comes to charcter concerns for players like Marshall.

First off, I utilize CBS rankings like all rankings - to guage things. Given the fact that I have won 3 championships and 1 2nd place finish in 6 years, I think my system for ranking evaluations works just fine.Secondly, if utilizing statistics to make a point is "teenage girl" - then you might want to try it sometime. Ironically, I thought name calling to deflect attention away from flawed reasoning and weak conclusions was "teenage girl".Thirdly, I must have missed the point where you attempted reason. The OP seemed to be filled with hyperbole, insult and disregard for the English language. ETA: NFL.com has Marshall ranked 30th overall (WR10), Matthew Berry at ESPN.com has him 34th overall (WR9) - both would fall outside the first two rounds in 12 team league and be in the latter half of the 3rd (in 10 teamers, even later)But thanks for the suggestions. Have a great season guy.

That's in PPR leagues. In non-PPR leagues, Marshall has finished 9th, 11th, and 9th over the last 3 years. Add in the surgery and switching teams and, if anything, I think anyone who drafts Marshall earlier than round 3 in a non-PPR league is reaching slightly. 3rd/4th round in non-PPR sounds just about right.

Hi Folks. General rule of thumb here. If you see a ranking somewhere that you disagree with, state the ranking and more importantly, state why you disagree. Leave the "what's he smoking? / He sucks / I wish I could be in his league" stuff for other boards and other sites please.

Thanks.

J

Ugh, I hope you didn't have anything earth shattering to say after this cause I stopped reading. Honestly, do you think anyone gives a #### about that? You are better of leaving that out in the future. HTH....and Marshall at the 3/4 turn is perfectly acceptable in a non-ppr. So, I wanna know what you're smoking if you say otherwise.
