Javon Walker could be back wk 11 or 12 (1 Viewer)

Walker could be ready to go in time for FF playoffs anyone considering grabbing him of the WW. What are his chances of being productive and back to pre-injury form?

Nope...but that's because I never dropped him but I'm certainly going to dangle him out there in a couple trades before the deadline.

What's his value if Cutler's out? Is this a repeat of the Carolina situation where Steve Smith is irrelevant now because Delhomme is out?

I want to believe this news, but he's been optimistic since the injury and I'm taking everything with a grain of salt this time around.

I just cut him for Ron Dayne. I don't think he'll be back. I've played this game before with some players. I don't like the idea of players opting out of surgery if they need it. He might come back but it should flare up again. I have Boldin, B. Edwards, L. Evans, and Coles at WR anyways.

I picked him off waivers a few weeks ago just in case. I am stacked at wr with Braylon, Santonio and roy williams. But depth is good. I have always liked Javon too

Dropped him in my league two weeks ago and then swung a 2-for-1 deal last week to get Harrison and picked Walker back up with the open roster spot. On paper having Walker and Harrison for the stretch run (plus Steve Smith and Deion Branch) looks pretty darn good. We'll see how it pans out.

Dropped him a few weeks ago as I was filling in for bye week TEs and Defense...just picked him back up after finally dropping the Bears D (no special teams points).

I never let the guy go. That would be absurb, especially because there was always a chance he might return. He was never declared as out indefinitely.

Depends on your roster requirements. My league has very tight roster limits so it made keeping Walker at the time of his injury extremely risky. But when brighter news broke last week I decided to take the risk and pick him back up. There's still a lot of risk here in my opinion. But at this time, based on the news of the past two weeks, I think it's worth it if you have the roster room to spare.

I agree wholeheartedly. We have 14 man rosters and he's currently on waivers because an owner couldn't wait on him much longer with limited roster space and bye week issues. I'm stacked at WR - T.O.,TJ, Branch and Evans and I don't have anyone to really drop to pick him up.Plus I doubt I'd ever start him over the Wrs I have on my roster.

All this talk of him playing soon, uh, didn't we just go through this song and dance? I believe I had to make a call about 20 minutes before game time to sub him out that game. Thank God he was playing an early game that week...

Getting Chicago, Oakland, and KC weeks 12-13 is a pretty sweet schedule, but I'm just not sure I can trust the guy in my lineup even if they say he is healthy. I need to see him A) start a game B) finish a game C) catch a few balls a game D) practice all the next week before I start the guy....I may be asking for too much this year....

Just a heads up - next week's game against the Titans is a Monday night game. So unless you have some strong backup plans you can use, starting Walker may not be an option for a lot of people. However, if he returns to full practices through next Saturday that would certainly make him a much more appealing starting option.

But let's take one step at a time.

Ramsey has never been confused with an elite QB but he does have a strong arm. I say if Javon does come back he will still be able to produce.

I would love to see him play in that game just to see what he is capable of at this point. Even if he doesn't do much. I just want to see him in uniform, running routes, catching a pass or two and taking a hit or two. I have no intention of starting him this weekend even if Jesus himself tells me he's 100% because I just don't know what he will do with so much time off...

I picked him up in a league just to see what happens.

However, the rumor that microfracture surgery was recommended to him instead of the scope is troubling. Plus, the way the Broncos season is going, I don't see any urgency to bring him back if he's not fully recovered.

The microfacture surgery recommended really makes you wonder if he will come back at all this year.

Yep. I guess it's not a rumor any more as it's posted in the FBG news blogger. Same article says back as soon as 11/19. I'm reminded of all the negative outcomes over the last 5-10 years when guys push themselves back early. I wouldn't pay a lot to acquire him, but he's worth a shot for free off the WW.
