Javon Walker {Dynasty} (1 Viewer)

I made a draft day deal involving Walker...

I gave:

WR Javon Walker

pick 1.04 (Matt Forte drafted here)

pick 3.04 (Mike Hart drafted here)

I got:

pick 1.01 (Darren McFadden drafted here)

pick 3.01 (Chad Henne drafted here)

pick 4.01 (Dexter Jackson drafted here)

Just to give an idea of what he was going for. This was before the whole Vegas situation though.

Lots of chickens coming home to roost here. Look, when you're already overweight, ovepaid and significantly underperforming in your OTA's with your brand new team, you DON'T DON'T DON'T party until 6 a.m. (or later). - Says pretty much everything I need to know about the guy and his work ethic. :kicksrock:
I suppose you can still count me in the camp that believes you learn more about a guy's work ethic by his 6 years in the league than you do by one night in Vegas. He's a multi-millionaire. He's under 30. It's the middle of June. Do you really expect any human being in that situation to wake up at 7 AM every day and just work out until 9 PM breaking only for meals until the season starts 3 months from now? If a guy who has proven his work ethic repeatedly in the league chooses to go out partying with his millions of dollars three months before the beginning of the season, then I have no problem with that.

Does Walker have a proven work ethic? Serious question, I don't know. If he does and he's been in tip top shape every season, then that's cool. I can't remember hearing much about him either way as to his work ethic. I did think it was strange that the word was he was out of shape this season - seems that with all the question about his knee he'd be doing everything he could to get back to elite level, which he has only achieved once during his career so far.

I didn't follow him as closely when he was at Green Bay, but the impression that I got was he was a hard worker. I know when he came to Denver, he was way behind on his rehab and there was speculation that he wasn't motivated, but it turned out he was just on a completely borked rehab program. Once Denver got him on their own approved rehab program, he busted his butt and posted one of the most phenomenal recoveries I can remember seeing.
