You are overblowing the impact on his psyche -- which was already flawed. Walker is not stable, period. Yes the Darrent Williams tragedy was a negative for him or anyone else and we as humans can take notice, but its not an umbrella excuse for not performing. Most players would focus MORE INTENSELY on the precious time they have to play in the NFL. Not be flailing around almost a year later. Sorry, this doesn't wash.

So it's his fault that Al Davis is an idiot?

No...its his fault that he was dumb enough to listen to Drew Rosenhaus and push Ted Thompson (the GM of the Packers) for more money when they were in cap trouble.Then again the next year when he was coming off the ACL injury.None of which had anything to do with Williams getting killed...since it had not happened yet.His issues in his head started long before his friend was shot.

Man, this thread has turned into something I didn't want. I was just posting a feel good thread about a guy who had been down; maybe because of some bad stuff that had happened to him....and has shown some life, because he was starting to feel a little bit better about what had happened to him.

In 2007, he was off to another good year (after the shooting)...but was hurt again.

Did Williams cause the knee injury 9 years after he was killed?

His injuries have kept him down for sure...his head is not helping...and he was not exactly Mr Boyscout or a member of Mensa before the shooting.

Quit blaming the one thing and realize that his knees are what has taken him back so far (and his own 10 cent head that was around before the shooting).

But there is no doubt that Javon looked better today than he has all year. Guy had 7 catches and a td for 75 yards. It IS POSSIBLE that this incident has given him some amount of closure. It is also possible that he is just getting healthy after his own incident. But the amount of ridicule and "moronic arrows" being slung at the OP is absurd.

So pretty average stats for a #1 WR. ThanksThe 2 games after the shooting.9 receptions 119 yards8 receptions 101 yards.Then he was hurt.Yeah...must have been so affected by it after that.Had nothing to do with his knees right? It was all waiting for the killer to be locked up.
