Jenny was good at the start but you can see she gets testy very fast now and ducks too many questions. It is a tough job because you have know tell half truths or just plain lie at times.
Would be be suprised to see her exit soon after the new year as she is starting to age like a POTUS does.

Let's talk about "brilliant"
Psaki mocks a reporter asking him if the Biden administration should send free tests to every American at their homes. The claim is "free tests" but she walked into a natural counter narrative that no one can escape.
1) Lots of American citizens aren't insured. Insurance reimbursement has a limited utility as many of the people who are unvaccinated are in this category.
2) Lots of Americans will not want to wrangle with their insurance companies. Leave it to insurance companies to find a way to make this even more stupid.
3) Insurance companies are built around NOT paying people out for their claims. How does this help the Biden administration later when this entire idiotic scenario gets cooked for massive fraud in some fashion and people who need the tests aren't getting them.
4) What are the practical pathways and limits of these "free tests"? How many, for how long, at what price and to what standard?
5) Now this creates a bureaucratic chain of having to explain this to the American public. How it works and how to deal with those who aren't going to hear these messages.
Psaki insults people for asking very logical questions. Why wasn't this prepared for earlier? She creates her own nightmare when her own words are going to be used against her and this administration later.
If you look at the backdoor narratives here, there is an attempt to shade down the way the costs are going to be spread out. But it will still eventually hit the average everyday American citizen. Probably many whom can least afford to take another financial hit.
If your media narrative is consistently, "It's someone else's fault, like Big Meat or any other available target" then you need to hold onto that message. She's given the American people no one else to blame.
She's unskilled, she's an idiot, she lacks basic Media 101 fundamentals, and she has likely tanked the rest of her career after this disaster zone she helped to self inflict.
I guess I'm just not as thirsty as some here to overlook incompetence.

Jen Psaki is an idiot. Someone will ask if that's my professional media optics evaluation of her. Yes, that's my professional assessment.
This administration is in perpetual "crisis management" mode. It's one scandal after scandal and idiotic decision after idiotic decision.
When you are operating in unrelenting crisis management, your first job in media optics is to NOT take already toxic and indefensible situations and make them worse. What you don't do is have a sitting POTUS that many people believe has dementia or some other form of irreversible destructive cognitive decline and talk about anything that can be "meme'd" or cooked into a sound bite about Biden's mental capacity/critical thinking ability.
Just about every hire from the Obama regime is in the John McKay Jr category. Unchecked nepotism and cronyism without regard to skill nor merit.
Psaki should absolutely be "cancelled", her POTUS basically refuses to talk to the press and the American people, so she operates as the lone consistent public voice for the administration and she's pathetic at her job. It's her job to find wins amidst the indefensible and surrounded by chaos. Instead she only highlights the bizarre tone deaf "bubble" where establishment Democrats think there is absolutely nothing wrong.
Jaime Harrison of DNC HQ wanted to print up banners and bumper stickers that said "Democrats Deliver" That was his big plan to save 2022 and 2024. Deliver what? Billions of dollars in weapons paid for your tax dollars and my tax dollars to terrorists who will use them to kill future generations of American children? Someone has to exist solely in a woke psychotic bubble to conjure up something as insane as "Democrats Deliver" for all of 2021.

Psaki is "fantastic" at creating natural counter narratives against everything her administration says and does.
"It's always easier to sell a package to the public once it's passed."
That's a stupid thing to say on multiple levels. First, it's openly telling the American public that they are stupid. Second, it calls back to Nancy Pelosi's horrible take on demanding people vote for something she refuses to actually explain. This also calls back to Pelosi strong arming Congress in 2020, giving them less than half a day to vote on what would amount to billions being funneled to her "nephew" Gavin Newsom so he could bail out the mess he made in California. Third, it reminds voters of what happened in Virginia, where parents were intentionally kept in the dark about what their kids were being taught, and then attempts were made to silence those who disagreed, using Merrick Garland as an advanced vanguard to weaponize the DOJ to hunt parents down like prey for the legal grinder.
This is like Brett Favre throwing into triple coverage. Except it's not Brett Favre, it's Tom Savage chucking it up when he was rotting with his clipboard for the Houston Texans.

It is a tough job with a shorter shelf life now. The lines on Jens face are getting deeper already. Jen is good as what she does, I mean it is a job you are forced to fudge the truth and cover for your boss day in and day out. Does take it`s toll. And that is dealing with a media except for Doocy that is gentle with her.

The general American public is willing to remain low information voters when the economy is good and they aren't seeing massive hits at the grocery store and at the gas pump and in their daily lives. However hiding the money trail only is going to work for so long under these conditions, and this administration can't hide it for three more years as voters are incentivized to figure out who is getting paid while they suffer.
The "science" changes when it benefits a big hitter and a big campaign contributor with incestuous ties to the Obama regime like Amazon. Everything Psaki says is poison to every small business owner in America and everyone who relies on a small business for a job. We are talking legacy votes lost here.
The correct media optics decision was not to quadruple down on blaming the last administration, it's to fire Fauci. Give the public a "brand name" pin cushion to operate as deflection. This is basic Crisis Management 101.

There's nothing "brilliant" about Psaki actually scolding and condescending the American public while failing to spin control Kamala Harris comparing J6 to Pearl Harbor and 9/11.
That only further alienates the current Democratic Party up and down the ticket from the military vote and the law enforcement/first responder vote. That could last up to FIVE FULL GENERAL CYCLES with the military vote. Then that includes the daisy chain with the risk to votes by family members and spouses of those whom are active service right now.
Establishment Democrats could have pulled off some kind of J6 media strategy WITHOUT further alienating the military vote. And those votes were already lost based on the Afghanistan disaster. It also give AOC, Bernie Sanders and the Progressives a new foothold to try to primary out down the ticket establishment Democrats that won't be overrun by GOP candidates in what will look like a total Red Tornado in the Mid Terms.

Why wasn't Biden setting up long term preparations earlier? Especially as he signals a "winter of death" coming? You can't have places like NY operate with mandates and not have widespread testing available.
The question arises why does Psaki look so flustered, increases her pace of speech and gives broken down fractured excuses on camera. The answer is because the only move the Biden Administration has left and that Susan Rice has in her bag is to say Psaki lied on her own to the American people.
As it's clear Psaki is on her way out soon, she's an easy target to blame on the way out the door.
This is why talented people with options don't want to work for the Obama regime. While I find Psaki to be incompetent here at this job of Press Secretary, I will be fair and say she was left on an island with no support. In the same way Charles Dimry was left in single coverage for game after game against Jerry Rice. Her reward for desperately trying to spin lie after lie in the most insane ways possible will very likely be to face a knife in the back for an administration that has no chance in 2024 anyway.

Psaki talks about "making changes to the rules" which is going to bite her hard in the near future. And since she's basically playing man coverage alone against just about all other opposition ( Biden and Harris and Rice have just left her on an island, taking a daily beating from all directions over issues no one can answer and no one in this administration actually wants to answer) , her words will be treated like a political punching bag come the Mid Terms.
An "alternative fact" is the reality that the Biden administration simply does not have the votes and somehow Psaki is committed to promising that somehow they'll still be gotten.

Doocy asks about Fauci and expanded mandates. Psaki pretends not to know what he's talking about, but it's her job to know and prepare for all of it. He literally reads the Fauci quote and she unloads a prepared answer that makes absolutely no sense. Biden says listen to Fauci but then Psaki is trying to spin that no one should listen to what Fauci just said in that context. Her reasoning is different entities are going to make their own choices, but with a mandate there are no choices. Everything she says can get turned back around on this administration in the Mid Terms.
Not a "flawless" escape here.

Let me rephrase my post as I realize it doesn't read quite as I'd been intending it to:

Now, having that out of the way, while my comment is mostly directed towards the previous president, it could be applied to the current one also, in varying degrees. Still, I stand by my statement as those attributes are never conducive to good governance regardless of party affiliation.
eta: Because we elect people who aren't perfect and don't always make appropriate comments, thus appearing (or actually are) uninformed and rude is why Presidents have Press Secretaries in the first place. Its a tough job.

In line with the title of this thread, I just want to say that I appreciate that Jen is leaving her position to go lie on a network I would never watch so I won't be subject to her constant condescension and lies in the future. I hope she has a long career in her new position. Hopefully she doesn't circle back to the WH anytime soon.

I didn’t mind her and thought she did well. As far as the “not lasting”, she is pretty average. They don’t tend to last very long:
* Clinton - two years
* Bush - two years
* Obama - two years, eight months
* Trump - one year, one month
* Biden - one year, two months and counting

It’s a tough job, Biden and Harris don’t exactly make it easy. Put on top of that COVID, Afghanistan and Russia, she did fairly well. She actually got COVID twice too, I believe.
PROS: Consistent, truthful, steady.
CONS: Too many “go to’s”. Her mannerisms seemed rehearsed, circling back was a crutch. These are minor criticisms, but to me it wore thin a bit.

Its really well done...Sorkin written shows and movies usually are. Had its downswings when he left (and Lowe left). Thought it picked up at the end with the new election...but lost some steam when Spencer passed away.
