If the ref doesn't bale him out and the Jets went on to lose because they didn't score on that drive, I'm guessing the mood would be a bit different. Anyway, Braylon will continue to make some eye-popping grabs and continue to drop easy ones as well. One thing that does annoy me is the people bagging on the Browns when they got something for him when he was gone at the end of the season anyway. As is the fact that some folks dont realize he doesnt play for the Browns anymore. Braylon has new life and it pisses the heck out of the Browns fans. My big decision comes next week, Steve Smith against the Bucs, Hines Ward against the Browns, Sims Walker against St. Louis or Edwards against the Pats. Its not that easy a choice really.Whatever. He's dropped one TD for the Jets already, but don't let that stop you.Smith vs. the Bucs, ftw.
Henne to GinnExactlyI'm pretty sure he was questionable and gimpy but go ahead and jump ship because of one game.*nod* 1 catch for 4 yards...great value there going forward when they have a new #1 receiver.Hi there Mr. Overreaction.Cotchery has lost all value.
Browns got robbed. Edwards will be a playmaker with a better team. Browns will be lucky to end up with 4 role players out of the trade and the way they draft, I wouldn't count on it.If the ref doesn't bale him out and the Jets went on to lose because they didn't score on that drive, I'm guessing the mood would be a bit different. They didn't get robbed. He was out of there at season's end. He just punched what I take to be an important member of the James entourage. He was making Brian Finneran look like Jerry Rice in terms of hands. What the Browns had here was a Corvette with a bunch of superficial damage that nobody in the neighborhood was going to give them much for. The Jets bought at the right price and might have a really nice ride. There was no way for the Browns to do better than they did.Browns got robbed. Edwards will be a playmaker with a better team. I guess I am looking at it overall, big picture how the Browns take top 5 picks (Braylon, Winslow etc) and end up sending them away for minimal returns. The fact that at this point they had no better options, that's their fault. No vision or direction. Typical Browns. They didn't get robbed. He was out of there at season's end. So the verdict is already in on Robiskie, Massaquoi, Mack, and two guys that haven't been drafted yet? I guess I would be bitter too. It's just an extremely poorly run team. From personnel down to the facilities infected with staph.Seeing how Braylon performed last night had to be salt in the wounds for Browns fans.Pretty sure he'll have one once an NFL owner reads this thread. So the verdict is already in on Robiskie, Massaquoi, Mack, and two guys that haven't been drafted yet? <------- GoBirdsCan I ask... Which one counts as a drop? The one way behind him that he batted down or the one he laid out for and got the PI call on, albeit a BAD CALL?Or was there a REAL drop?As is the fact that some folks dont realize he doesnt play for the Browns anymore. Everyone in the building and everyone paying attention knew they'd run the ball out of the Wildcat and the Jets D got run over. Pushed up & down the field all night long.I like the Jets version of the Wildcat. What did they call it? The Jetcat? Seminole?knowing that no other team runs that Panzy ### Wild cat #### like that...
The one that went right through his hands on the phantom PI call. It was a REAL drop.ETA: Kind of pointless to argue, because the penalty nullifies the drop stat anyway. And like I said, I wish he had caught it, because that would be one catch closer to activating the escalator on the 3rd rounder. Anyway, this was just one game. You'll see...Can I ask... Which one counts as a drop? The one way behind him that he batted down or the one he laid out for and got the PI call on, albeit a BAD CALL?Or was there a REAL drop?As is the fact that some folks dont realize he doesnt play for the Browns anymore. Big props to you Reaper. Really classy of you to give congratulations after your team loses in a close nail biter.I feel sorry for the Bills next week. Your boys are gonna lay a massive beat down on them and take out their frustration over losing this last one come next Sunday.Looking forward to the rematch in the Meadowlands in 3 weeks. While I'm hoping for another close game and back and forth battle like we had last night, I'm also kinda dreading the rematch because I don't think Rex Ryan will be caught with his pants down in preparing the team like that a second time.Congrats Fins!!!!!Usually I'm a bit uneasy after a Jets loss but, that was some game.... I guess part of the good feeling is watching the Jets new offense with Braylon and knowing that no other team runs that Panzy ### Wild cat #### like that... But, Hats off to Chad Henne - When Pennington went down I said, THAT, is the best possible thing that could happen to the Dolphins!!!!! They had to see what they had in Henne and the Miami game plan last night, the execution and Chad Henne were all perfect... They took the Jets Blitz away all night and converted when they needed to...Jets schedule gets better form here on out... I think the Jets D takes this one to heart - normal offense or not...
Credit given... My point is, no other team runs it as well - and it's also about Execution, and Miami played a great game at home - The Miami OL played LIGHTS OUT... The play calling was spot on... I just don't think any other team has the combo of RB's, QB's and OL to pull it off again and the Jets D will lick it's wounds and keep building, it's still only their 5th game with the new defense.Heck, my hope for THE SEASON was to see the defense jell into something good.I don't think it's as if the Jets D was exposed or anything - Look forward to see what Rex does for the next matchup in New York....Personally, I'm happier that the Defense took one on the Chin over the offense..... I think the offense has a whole new dimension right now that they sorely lacked and Win or Lose, they come out of this game a better team than last monday. And of course, Henne played an absolutley Brilliant game with the 3rd down conversions - not easy to do at all coming in and out of the game....Absolutely Great Game by the Dolphins all around... I think a lot of people wrote them off way too early - Again, I was all over Henne being the greatest thing since sliced bread for the Fins this year - check the Pennington thread.Everyone in the building and everyone paying attention knew they'd run the ball out of the Wildcat and the Jets D got run over. Nice post. Almost wish you were like some of my obnoxious Jets buddies who talked a lot of &^(* this past week. I keep confusing those maniacs with some of the more level headed Jets fans on this site.Braylon Edwards is exactly what the Dolphins need - I'm far from being sold on Ginn. Virtually the same post I made above. I enjoy it when you can have some friendly banter with opposing fans and such, and yet the rose colored glasses come off and credit is given where credit is due at the end of the game without any homer opinions or weak attempts to justify either a poor performance or another team "getting lucky" as it were. The majority of the posters here show style and class with only a few exceptions. Completely puts the tools over at Finheaven and TheGangGreen message boards to shame. My hat is off to you both. Honestly, that's the thing that drew me to Cheatsheets.net/Footballguys a long while ago.....I posted on AOL boards way back when and Jets fans and Fin fans battled all day all year over every little thing - it was an all out attack all the time...It was probably good to get that out of the system but, when I found this place I found a much higher Football intellect and guys that were able to talk about the game from a slightly different perspective, Fantasy or PRODUCTION 1st.....It's to all of our benefit to talk about how Great Henne looked over trying to find some smack.....And yeah, that Pass Int call was BRUTAL ; )Virtually the same post I made above. Another Jets Dolphins MNF classic.
Yep. These two teams make for some great football. Play-for-play last night's game was a classic.Braylon pylon catch, Ricky hurdle, and Henne clutch throws down the stretch... What a freaking game!
