Jim Mora Jr's comments to a Seattle radio station (1 Viewer)

When it comes down to it, our opinions don't matter.

This is the guy who's opinion matters

• Atlanta owner Arthur Blank, having reviewed tape of Jim Mora's appearance Thursday on a Seattle-area radio station, isn't buying his coach's excuse that he was only joking with the co-hosts when he said the University of Washington post was his dream job. Isn't buying it at all. A guy who is big on image, Blank believes Mora's latest misstep doesn't sit well with the fans. Mora has definitely reduced his margin of error to zero. Not so much in terms of wins and losses, or even making the playoffs, but in how he conducts himself. Like the little boy who cried "Wolf!" too often, Mora has been forced to apologize to the fans and to the guy who signs his paycheck way too many times now. Blank is weary of hearing "I'm sorry" all the time and Mora is on a short leash. Even if Mora survives, he has exhausted his political capital with his boss and won't be able to rebuff any suggestions about staffing changes. Blank wanted to shake up the staff after the 2005 season, but Mora was able to change his mind. Mora doesn't have any clout left now to save some assistants if Blank wants them dismissed.

Mora's a jerk. i hear him on Sirius every week. If you heard him absolutely lay out Brian Reagan (or whoever it was) for mentioning Vick was not passing well you would think so too.
Unless you were listening to comedian Brian Regan on "Laugh Break" on channel 105, I'm pretty sure you are speaking of Bruce Murray. :D And yes, I heard that. Mora can be quite petulant at times.
Lol thanks. Actually, I hear Brian on Blue Collar every once in awhile. He sucks. Not as annoying as Mora but close. :IBTL:

I actually believe Mora was joking but he's been exhibiting peculiar behavior recently. Don't know if he meant what he said or not but I think we can all agree it was pretty stupid. I can't recall the game but a few weeks ago I was watching their game when Mora went to the lockerroom for a few minutes, like he had to go to the bathroom or something. In that same game when a play did not go went down to his knee and than laid face first on the ground and I remember thinking A) I've never seen and NFL HC have to go to the locker room during a game unless it was health related and B)I've never seen an NFL HC lay on the ground like that. When you add some this stuff up with his bizarre behavior last week I'd have to assume the stress is just to much for him to handle and I'd not be shocked to learn he had a substance abuse issue of some sort because his behavior is really odd.

Oh, so you're the one. Good, now that's cleared up. Couldn't figure out who it was.
I don't watch Sportscenter so not sure nor do I care what others think but I do watch NFL Live and PTI and on both of those shows 3 people gave their opinion on wheter or not they thought he was joking and all 3 people, Wilbon, Kornhieser, and Clayton all tought he was not serious. So now that we got that cleared up you'll need to make another attempt at posting something witty or usefull on this board.

I dunno wheter I tought it was witty or usefull. But, I think you're totally misinterpreting Wilbon's and Kornheiser's comments. They certainly didn't think he was joking, and if IIRC, their position was that he was trying to emphasize that he'd like to be regarded for the UW job at some point. But, there was no "yuck-yuck, jokes people, jokes" about it. He was dead serious about how much he wants that gig.
