Jimmy Graham misses practice (1 Viewer)

fwiw it looks like the saints could be thin at TE anyway this week. I still think he'll play, especially if these two are limited/inactive this week.

New Orleans Saints injuries: Tight end Jimmy Graham joins lenghty list

10/20/11 1:32PMMike Triplett, The Times-Picayune New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton is back in front of the media today. Here's the lengthy injury report that led off his press gathering:

Tight end Jimmy Graham was held out of practice after experiencing ankle soreness following Wednesday's practice. It's unclear if he was just taking a day off as a precaution or if he's in jeopardy of missing Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Linebacker Jonathan Vilma (knee), defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis (ankle), defensive end Turk McBride (shoulder), linebacker Will Herring (hamstring) and right tackle Zach Strief (knee) remained out of practice. Center Olin Kreutz was excused for personal reasons. Tight ends David Thomas (concussion) and John Gilmore (neck) were limited.

Payton did not elaborate on most of the injuries, though he did say that Vilma did not suffer any setbacks with the lingering injury. Vilma has been limite

This guy is a beast on a record setting tear TE wise, he's going to play if this is just some swelling that poped up.

Appears to be fine - will be listed as probable:

Four injured players returned to practice on a limited basis for the New Orleans Saints on Friday, increasing the chances that they'll be able to play Sunday night against the Indianapolis Colts. Tight end Jimmy Graham and linebacker Jonathan Vilma are officially listed as probable. Defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis and defensive end Turk McBride are officially listed as questionable.

Tight end David Thomas (concussion) won't play, though Coach Sean Payton said he continues to make progress. Linebacker Will Herring (hamstring) and offensive tackle Zach Strief (knee) didn't practice Friday and have been ruled out for the game.
