While I agree that starting topics by itself is not necessarily a guarantee of a good thing-- I do think that Joe's and the staff's participation and involvement in the forums is absolutely a good thing. There was a period of a few years where the FBG staff participation in these forums was basically non-existent--and I personally find that things are much better now that they are back.Starting topics doesn't necessarily mean it is a good thing.
Timmy calls that Friday.Joe has been extremely active as a topic starter in the FFA this year. 42 Topics started alone this year. Joe is the new Timmy![]()
I see him participating. I saw him in the Robert Kraft thread, I also saw him in the Randall ALS thread where he and the FBG staff matched a $5k donation just to name a few. I also see him in some of the Shark Pool stuff. Many of the threads he starts are derived from posts that he sees in other threads. In general I personally find it nice to see any sort of presense in the forums from the FBG staff and Joe.Walking Boot said:Is Joe actively participating in other threads? Or just starting a bunch of random stuff, checking it for an hour, then bailing out?
Legitimately asking because I don't see him in the few threads I actually follow. I have no interest in most of the stuff he starts threads about.
That seems like a strange thing to say. Not sure what you are going for.Maybe FBG would be better off removing the political forum completely and not allow political posts here.
Are you sure your full first name isn't Tim Joe?timschochet said:I am unworthy of such a comparison (though certainly honored.)
Disagree. It ain't hard to make an extra click (or even open 2 browsers!) to toggle from one to the other.I know I'm a minority, but: Should have never moved the political threads to their own forum. Really cut down on cross posting and participation in FFA.
All the ridiculous political chatter was starting to push some really fun topics down to page 4 or 5. It was starting to become difficult to weed through the toxicity to actually get to something interesting.Disagree. It ain't hard to make an extra click (or even open 2 browsers!) to toggle from one to the other.
For myself, I'm glad there aren't 14 bazillion toxic topics in the FFA anymore. Plus, I see a lot of the political-minded folks also posting in the FFA.

you mean cut down on the ####ty posts and threads - and having to sift through all that horse ####.I know I'm a minority, but: Should have never moved the political threads to their own forum. Really cut down on cross posting and participation in FFA.
Would you reconsider if he replaced the politics forum with a yoga pants forum? If Joe ever got rid of the politics forum at this point and re-merged everything back into the FFA, I'd leave this place for good in about all of .0019 seconds.
Agreed. It's toxic enough arguing over whether a song is a one-hit wonder or not. Don't need it to escalate more than that. For myself, I'm glad there aren't 14 bazillion toxic topics in the FFA anymore. Plus, I see a lot of the political-minded folks also posting in the FFA.
Thanks. My ability to participate seems to vary depending on other things. I'm guessing most are that way. By far, I'm way more interested in creating discussion than I am adding to it. That's why I'll start more threads than most do. Thanks for the kind words and for being part of the forums.I see him participating. @SIDA!, the last guy who tried to make the FFA great again was shown the door by henchmen of the powers that be
such a shame , good guy
Got a bunch of self-righteous holier than thou ####s supporting HRC for months and hurling insults at Trump supporters. Then Trump wins and these same clowns want to talk about how horrible Trump supporters are while positioning themselves as model citizens. Get off your own ####.
I hope the abuse continues to be piled on these arrogant ####s. And I hope they get triggered like little #####es repeatedly over the next two years as hopefully Trump rams his agenda down the left's throat.
Open wide #####es.
