Your team is currently being rated by the projections of David Dodds Switch to: Maurile Tremblay Bob Henry Jason Wood

QB: Philip Rivers, Joe Flacco

RB: Montee Ball, Andre Ellington, Chris Johnson, C.J. Anderson

WR: Brandon Marshall, Mike Wallace, Hakeem Nicks, Andrew Hawkins, Nate Washington, Charles Johnson

TE: Zach Ertz

PK: Stephen Gostkowski

TD: Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns

Overview:

Old school!

Make no mistake about it: this team is about strength at the running back position. And we think it will be the league favorite or very close to it. Somewhere Marshall Faulk is smiling.

Nonetheless, we'd be remiss if we didn't at least mention the relative lack of strength at quarterback and receiver. These are usually survivable weaknesses, but we'd feel better if we knew you were committed to zealously scouring the waiver wire for this year's emergent players at QB and WR. Getting a breakout player at one or both of those positions would take your already-good team to the next level.

Players we particularly like on this team include Montee Ball, Mike Wallace, Brandon Marshall, Andre Ellington, Joe Flacco, Chris Johnson, and Stephen Gostkowski. We have all these guys ranked ahead of where they are typically being drafted.

Bottom line:

  • With great inseason management, we think you have about a 85 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With good inseason management, we think you have about a 75 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With average inseason management, we think you have a 65 percent chance of making the playoffs.

Your team is currently being rated by the projections of David Dodds Switch to: Maurile Tremblay Bob Henry Jason Wood

QB: Matthew Stafford, Eli Manning

RB: Marshawn Lynch, Andre Williams, Knowshon Moreno, Ronnie Hillman

WR: A.J. Green, Marques Colston, Cecil Shorts, Cody Latimer, Davante Adams, Ryan Broyles

TE: Jordan Reed, Richard Rodgers

PK: Matt Prater

TD: Seattle Seahawks

Overview:

The quarterback position looks good, and we like your overall strength at the tradionally less important positions as well. But it has some issues post-draft. Your only real core strength is at quarterback, yet that's often the easiest position to fill during the season. Your relative lack of strength at running back and receiver have the potential to make things challenging for you.

To turn this team into a top contender, you might need to be an active player on the waiver wire and in league trade talks. Last year running backs like Knowshown Moreno and Zac Stacy could be had dirt cheap at the draft. Additionally, wide receivers like Julian Edelman and Keenan Allen were available after a lot of the drafts. You would benefit from landing some of this year's top waiver plays, so pay close attention to increased workloads, targets, injuries, etc.

Bottom line:

  • With great inseason management, we think you have about a 60 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With good inseason management, we think you have about a 45 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With average inseason management, we think you have a 26 percent chance of making the playoffs.

Your team is currently being rated by the projections of David Dodds Switch to: Maurile Tremblay Bob Henry Jason Wood

QB: Colin Kaepernick, Robert Griffin III, Johnny Manziel

RB: Matt Forte, DeMarco Murray, Doug Martin, Steven Jackson, Jonathan Grimes

WR: Anquan Boldin, Jerricho Cotchery, Kenbrell Thompkins, Eddie Royal

TE: Dennis Pitta, Jermichael Finley

PK:

TD: Kansas City Chiefs

Overview:

We think you're looking good at quarterback and running back. The receiver corps is a concern though.

The good news is that, of all of the weaknesses to have, this one is usually the most survivable. At receiver, it's often relatively easy to find fill-in guys on a weekly basis until a better player emerges during the season.

Last year wide receivers like Julian Edelman, Riley Cooper, and Keenan Allen went undrafted in many leagues. But these guys likely helped the fantasy teams that landed them in 2013. Stay atop the news and watch the target report to find the break out players weeks before the rest of the world wants them and you'll be in the mix.

Bottom line:

  • With great inseason management, we think you have about a 60 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With good inseason management, we think you have about a 40 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With average inseason management, we think you have a 23 percent chance of making the playoffs.

WR: Demaryius Thomas, Michael Floyd, Eric Decker, DeAndre Hopkins, Greg Jennings

TE: Delanie Walker, Heath Miller

PK: Blair Walsh

TD: St. Louis Rams, Detroit Lions

Overview:

Your receivers are the strongest part of this team. It's rare for us to endorse a team with weaknesses at quarterback and running back, but we're doing it right here! You should have a contender here. But your margin for error in terms of inseason management could be a bit thinner than some of your competitors'. You must remain committed to finding 2014's emergent players at RB and QB.

Your team is currently being rated by the projections of David Dodds Switch to: Maurile Tremblay Bob Henry Jason Wood

QB: Jay Cutler, Sam Bradford

RB: Jamaal Charles, Ryan Mathews, Ben Tate, Knile Davis, Stepfan Taylor

WR: Pierre Garcon, Roddy White, Emmanuel Sanders, Kenny Stills, Jarvis Landry

TE: Coby Fleener, Eric Ebron

PK:

TD: New England Patriots

Overview:

In a competitive league, almost every team has a weakness. It's almost impossible to build a team that is strong at all three core positions (quarterback, running back and wide receiver). As you probably suspect, we perceive your weakness to be at the quarterback position. Of all the deficiencies to have though, this is usually the easiest one to mask.

Footballguys owner David Dodds even recommends you go into your draft with the goal of landing the top RBs and WRs while waiting to grab QBs late. Value-Based Drafting principles also suggest that teams constructed in this manner end up being strong. But for this team to reach it's full potential, you might need to have a quick trigger finger at the QB position and stay on the look out for good quarterback help. Last year Nick Foles could be had very cheap in August, but ended up contributing to a lot of fantasy championships. In 2012 it was Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck; in 2011 it was Cam Newton. Quarterbacks like these can be found every year, and that could be the key to your team's success.

So although this team isn't perfect (few are), it should still be a strong contender.

Players we particularly like on this team include Stepfan Taylor, Roddy White, and the Patriots defense. We have all these guys ranked ahead of where they are typically being drafted.

Bottom line:

  • With great inseason management, we think you have about a 85 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With good inseason management, we think you have about a 75 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With average inseason management, we think you have a 61 percent chance of making the playoffs.

I may have two top 10 WR's. Colston is criminally underrated in this years draft. If Colston is out there is the 5th round, draft him.

Qb -- Rodgers --one of the elite, with top spot potential

Rb - Lacy --very happy to get him as my rb, even with our settings he was a steal at #13 overall

Wr -- Crabtree and Tate --- crabtree has talent but oppurtunity is not great for a #1, tate needs to be solid with Calvin something nobody has done yet.

Flex --- Bush and Wheaton --- because of his overall production bush makes a decent flex here and he will be great as a #2 rb, wheaton has looked good this summer and has a solid oppurtunity this year.

Te -- Olsen -- A very solid te #1, not flashy just productive

Bench --- F jackson --- still productive and team seems to still believe in him.

Amendola -- looked better when I drafted him, stock has fallen since then.

Beckham --- took him late based on potential, but so far has not shown anything.

Eifert --- I am okay with him as my back up to Olsen.

Helu --- a bye need pick.

G. Smith -- a bye week pick

pk -- Bailey -- I like his opportunity and late bye

def --- Bengals and Packers --Benglas are elite and I think the pack are above average.
oooo do us do us!

already done by FBG, but since you asked here is my review of your team

Qb -- Cutler --- a decent qb but with marshall, jeffery, and forte to throw to he should be better than he has been.

Rb -- Charles --- elite of the elite in my opinion.

Wr -- Garcon and White --- Garcon will drop down some from last year but not a ton and White will perform a lot better.

Flex --- Sanders and Mathews -- Sanders makes a great flex and while I am not high on matthews he is an okay option here.

Te -- Fleener -- not so high on him, sorry.

Def --- Patriots -- I think they are an above average d.

Pk -- none --- not a big worry but I prefer to draft one to get a solid guy.

bench -- Bradford -- maybe this will finally be his year but I think you should of gotten somone better to back up Cutler.

Tate -- as your #3 rb there is absolutely nothing wrong with that

Davis -- Charles Insurance policy

Taylor -- I assume your drop to get a pk

Stills --- with all the press going to cooks, he is slipping under the radar

Landry -- a solid rookie flyer

Ebron -- Rookie Te are risky but with Fleener as your #1, I can understand taking this risk.

I do like my chances much better after dodds and company only gave me a 55% chance of making the playoffs. "Have a great season" ladies.....

His odds are a joke. Even the best team does not have a 50 percent chance of making the playoffs.
Im not buying Ryan is a weakness at qb. I guess if Julio breaks his foot again in october and Roddy misses a lot of time i can see it. Im just not banking on that. I have him ranked 5th right behind Luck in MY QB rankings...

B Tate or Gore? .5 ppr
Tate. I think the chance of Tate breaking out is about as the same as I think Gore will fall off a cliff. Neither scenario if bank on. However, Gore has a lower floor, but also a lower ceiling IMO and while he hasn't shown it yet, Gore has a lot of tread on the tires. If you're looking to swing for the fences, Tate.

That's kind of misleading considering I have 2 rookies. Pre season projections are always very conservative when it comes to rookies. The year after they are all over there Johnson after the fact. They don't have the foresight to go balks in the rookie year tho. They weren't all that high on lacy last year as I recall....

There is a reason why they are conservative when it comes to rookie WR, it usually takes 2-3 years before they put up big numbers. Not always the case, but that is the norm.

Your team is currently being rated by the projections of David Dodds Switch to: Maurile Tremblay Bob Henry Jason Wood

QB: Russell Wilson, Alex Smith

RB: Zac Stacy, Frank Gore, DeAngelo Williams, Donald Brown

WR: Antonio Brown, Keenan Allen, Kendall Wright, Riley Cooper, Steve Smith, Marvin Jones

TE: Martellus Bennett, Jared Cook

PK: Mason Crosby

TD: Buffalo Bills

Overview:

We'll start by complimenting you on your strength at quarterback and receiver. As you know, it's very difficult in a competitive league to assemble a team that is strong at QB, RB, and WR, so just about every team will have a weakness. As you probably suspect, we perceive yours to be at running back.

In 2014, that's not an instant fantasy team killer like it might have been five years ago. Your league setup also doesn't mandate running back strength to the extent that many do. So in this particular case, we absolutely think you're strong enough elsewhere to overcome it. You've definitely got a good team here, but we'd feel better if we knew you were committed to keeping an eye out for the 2014 version of last season's Knowshon Moreno or Zac Stacy, or 2012's Alfred Morris.

Players we particularly like on this team include Kendall Wright, Alex Smith, Antonio Brown, DeAngelo Williams, Jared Cook, and Steve Smith. We have all these guys ranked ahead of where they are typically being drafted.

Bottom line:

  • With great inseason management, we think you have about a 85 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With good inseason management, we think you have about a 75 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With average inseason management, we think you have a 63 percent chance of making the playoffs.

Actually, I am right there with you. My kicker suspended for 4 weeks. ugh.
wtf. Toking the reefer?
Alcohol....had a previous DWI and was under double-secret probation.

ETA: I drafted a kicker early so it would be a no-brainer who to start each week. I hate having to guess on how well a kicker or defense is going to do week to week. It is too much of a crap-shoot and I usually miss.
