John Brown Hype Train- Not as bad of reach as I thought (2 Viewers)

Going with Golden Tate his week off WW. Can't afford another goose egg from Brown
I'm doing the same in one league. In another, I'm still mulling over whether to accept a very low ceiling by starting Chris Givens again (this worked for me last week, but this week Ravens vs. Rams).

I wish there was more clarity on K. Martin status for tomorrow night. I would pick him up and start him. Debating over Shorts or Brown right now.

Down 53 pts with Palmer, McCoy, and LaFell to go. Tempted to gamble and swap in Brown for LaFell to get that QB/WR connection for quick pts.

Do you have a deadline for when your points count?
Huh? Players are locked in at start of their game. Not sure what you mean. That's pretty standard no?
I was referring to you starting Brown for "quick pts" over LaFell.
Oh, bad verbiage. I just meant one or two plays could yield big points if they connected for TDs.

I should've came in here for heads up and told you guys I was going against him. Would've removed all doubt to start him.

How we feeling about him tonight? Rotoworld saying likely matched up against Terrence Newman.
I want to play him. He could hit on one bomb. Not sure who will cover being Arizona has three and possibly four burners at WR plus Johnson. My only concern is too many mouths to feed and Arizona blowing the Vikings out.

This. That's why you can't sit him
Sure you can sit him. I have other options and I'm not going to take the risk that he doesn't hit on a bomb on Thursday night.

Without turning this into a wdis thread, what other options would you sit him for? Someone like Amendola? Around that range?

I am playing Calvin, D Parker, and John Brown over him.

I'm going with Martavis Bryant, Crabtree and Hurns. I might regret not starting Brown later tonight but I prefer my other options.

You're starting John Brown over John Brown?

Brown is averaging 13 pts per game, in the games he played, over the last 8 weeks. Not sure what the concern with him is. I am starting him over Ivory, Parker and Cobb

I think I'm about to change my mind here and put Brown in for Crabtree.

I am sitting him for Hopkins, ARob and Dez. Dez was a really close call, but I went with the guy that I think has the higher floor.

I screwed that all up. I should have written that I was playing John brown, Calvin, and Parker over Cooper and d Adams.

Thank u for pointing out my mistake. Excuse me while I slink out of the room.

Will Carson even need him tonight? Can't see this game being a shootout at all - I see it being a lot of David Johnson, with Fitz moving the chains.

Sure there will be a few deep shots downfield, and I'm sure Smokey will be targeted on those. Still, I just don't see the cardinals having to throw to win this game.

I'm not so sure Dez is the guy with the lower floor. I'm struggling with this decision, but just look at their games since Dez has been back. Pretty sure John Brown has the higher ceiling and higher floor.

BA keeps the foot on the pedal.

I have an overwhelming feeling John Brown posts an egg tonight.

Lets hope I'm wrong as usual. :excited:

This. I started him earlier in the season on the way up until he left that one dud but I blame that mostly on the coach and gamesmanship.

Dude is a stud muffin

John Brown = Antonio Brown

I own both and the similiarities are uncanny. Exact same height.

They both got overlooked a bit early in their careers because of their height but both are supreme talents. John Brown right now gets lost a little bit because of the all the weapons the Cardinals have but make no mistake he is an absolutely stud. The efficiency rate this year when Carson passes to John Brown is exremely high and even though the hamstring injury slowed him down for a couple of games he is still has posted WR#2 numbers this year.

It took quite while for people to recognize just how good Antonio is and people are a bit slow on John too but don't sleep on this guy. He is special.

Little guys, as long as they have an accurate QB they are fine. A. Brown showed what happens when the QB goes down and a backup comes in. Bigger WRs like Brandon Marshall don/t need an accurate QB.

I own Brown but will unload him to a weak team when Palmer is gone unless his replacement is accurate.

Short guys get no respect. In life and and in football.

Antonio only struggled when Vick was QB. With Jones he as fine. Both are more talented than Marshall. Did Carson's accuracy turn that TD from a 20 yard gain into a 65 yard TD? No it didn't. John Brown's speed did. Get either Antonio or John into the open field and you are in big trouble as a defense.

Accuracy got the ball to him so he could do what he does. Without accuracy, that play never happens. I'm not arguing your point. I love having John Brown but I know if there is no Plamer, John Brown suffers badly. Go back to last year and see how bad his numbers were right after Palmer went down. If Palmer goes down, John Brown is a zero.
