John Kitna OUT for week 6 after visiting back specialist (1 Viewer)

Jon Kitna (back) has been downgraded to out for Week 6 after visiting with a back specialist late in the week. This isn't a good sign for his chances of playing again soon. Consider dropping Kitna in 10-team leagues. He hasn't played well even when healthy. Source: MLive.com

I disagree. Kitna held onto the ball WAY to long. If they can get a QB in there who can get the ball out quickly, Calvin will benefit.

With Rodgers now as my only qb left in one league I've rostered both Lions backups. Week 8 is gonna suck.

Wasn't sure which Kitna thread to post this in...so this one gets it. A couple of posters on mlive.com are speculating that Kitna isn't really hurt.

This was a quote in the Freep, "I really probably shouldn't talk to the media today," Kitna said. "I can't be honest and truthful."What does that mean? Maybe he's not hurt? Something fishy about this Kitna injury thing. Maybe something more is going on that nobody is talking about...
I stated on the previous articles that Kitna wasnt hurt...He was complianing like crazy last game about getting benched and now hes suddenly hurt..He wasnt hurt in the game agianst the bears..he just got benched thats it..so there hidding it so he can save face
Then I run across this in John Czarnecki's article on foxsports:The Patriots supposedly are still looking for a veteran quarterback and may have interest in Damon Huard of the Chiefs and Jon Kitna of the Lions. However, Kitna is hurt at the moment.hmm, what if Kitna isn't hurt or not hurt that bad and they're protecting him so they can trade him.

VERY interesting. Makes me wonder if Orlovsky is really hurt too, or if they just wanna give Stanton a look.

Going out "injured" is what they believe is the honorable way to go out. He has been benched. Who's decision was this? If it was marinelli's decision, why didn't it happen earlier? It wasn't his decision. They are still being coached from above, even with Millen gone.

Back in the good old days... Lions had Rodney Peete, Eric Kramer and Andre Ware at QB. William Clay Ford supposably made a phone call and wanted to see Ware play. Maybe he awoke from a 15 year nap and did the same thing.
