Jon Kitna owners (1 Viewer)

I have to say Kitna has been mediocre all year. I was almost positive hed be a top QB all year so this definitely surprised me. Hes been getting about 17 pts a week for the last 5 weeks and now has no Roy Williams to throw to and 3 tough matchups over the next 3 weeks (DAL, SD, KC). Im really nervous about him and was wondering what other Kitna owners were doing.

My backup sucks too (Bulger) so I was thinking about picking up a sleeper QB. Any ideas? Maybe Sage Rosenfels but he has 2 tough matchups (TB & IND 2 weeks later) and an easy one (DEN).

I am actually in the same boat and was looking to the forum for some advice. I have Kitna and Bulger in one league and Kitna and Eli Manning in another league. My other dilemma is who to drop. I hate to drop Bulger or Manning, but I can't really afford to drop a position player because of injuries. In the league where I have Kitna and Manning, I have roster spots rotting with Heap and Walker. Plus I lost Roy Williams, so I am going WRBC there.

Anyway, any thoughts would be appreciated. I have a few options, but none are very appealing...Tavaris Jackson, Kyle Boller, Sage Rosenfels, Kellen Clemens, Josh McCown.

My backup is Garrard and while he won't light up the scoreboard, at least he won't (or hasn't) throw interceptions. Weeks 14 and 16 look good with Carolina and Oakland. I'm concerned about the week 15 matchup against Pittsburgh, but Kitna at San Diego doesn't look much better. I may have to let AD carry my team (again) that week. I need to see who has a good matchup for week 15 on my WW. I haven't done that yet.

I won't be able to start him confidently, that is for sure. Luckily in the 3 leagues I own Kitna, I have Hasselbeck, Favre, Garrard as other options, and like it was mentioned earlier, Garrard won't put up huge numbers, but I will take his 250/1 or 2 TD's over a goose egg any day.

I know it sounds crazy but, I am seriously considering dropping Schaub for Tarvaris Jackson. He plays @ SF in week 14 and at home against Chicago in week 15. I'm not sure if I'd start him over Kitna but he gives me an option with nice matchups.

I am in the same boat. Jackson seems to be pretty far under the radar, and he has San Fran and Chicago over the next two weeks which are both in the bottom 12 pass defenses. After that he has Washington who we are not really sure what they have without #21. He seems like a legit gamble for us Kitna owners who are scared of what he will do (or not do) without Roy and with what has been an up and down year anyway.

I have Kitna in a league where we dont penalize for INTs/Fumbles or anything like that, but Grossman is still in the WW (at MIN week 15) so i'm considering Rex.

I have Kitna with Schaub (OOF) as my backup. Fortunately, I have a bye next week so the Dallas matchup doesn't bother me.

After that, I'm probably gonna ride him. I can say that with LT, TO, Welker and the Vikes D in my hand...

Like several of you, I picked up Schaub for insurance a couple of weeks back and now I am scrambling. I have Vince Young, who has looked better the past few weeks, but I am nervous about his remaining matchups too (Chargers, Chiefs and Colts). That being said, I don't think I could plug a waiver wire wonder like Cleo Lemon in there and feel any better about it. I guess I'm probably going to ride Kitna and hope for the best.

Hmm perhaps Kyle Boller is an option :IBTL:
This is the one that came to mind for me. He plays vs IND @MIA and @SEA. Those may not be shootouts, but the possibility of passing stats is there.I was fortunate and made pre trade deadline deals to get Brees in one league and Warner in another, so I think I am ok.

Add me to the list of the nervous. I have Kitna and my backup is Vince Young. WW is slim (obviously at this time of year), so I will just roll with these 2.

Benched him weeks ago for Farve. I nearly had a heart attack at the thought of going into the playoffs with Kitna at the helm when I saw Farve go out with injury against the Boys. Thankfully Farve is Farve!

thinking of moving to Vince Young....match-ups aren't great, but they are fighting for a wild-card, and we know VY will elevate his game.

Kitna was great for about five weeks.... now he's my backup behind Hass b/c Hass has better matchups.

Thing with Kitna is, the upside is ALWAYS there. There is always the chance, no matter what the opponent, no matter what the receivers, that you will get 300 yards, 3 TDs, 2 Ints. So unless you have a much stronger option, I swing for the fences with the Leos rather than play it safe with a Garrard, say.
