WIll he get the rock more down the stretch if Carolina clinches a playoff spot? I just cant get a good read on this situation.

I could see him being a good flex option against Denver in week 15, maybe even a decent RB2.

Clinching a playoff spot won't matter, the division would still be up for grabs and will still be no matter what happens Monday night.

Starting him out of necessity. Gore and LJ were my starters.... :goodposting:
Funnny. Same thing with me. Gore and LJ. I am rolling with Sammy Morris definitely at one spot. I really want to start Stewart over LJ if Gore is out, but i cant afford 30 yards in the playoffs.

Slaton against Tennessee or Stewart against Denver?
tough one, but i thnk you gotta go with Slaton. Right?
I think you have to go with Slaton. The risk of Deangelo getting more and Stewart less is always there. Slaton will get plenty of opportunity.
I've got a post in the AC on the topic; Stewart or Slaton... and Deangelo is my other starter. With both Carolina backs, the question is the size of the pie... not necessarily the distribution. (I know I'm probably putting too much emphasis on last night's game but that was impressive)

Looking at the distribution over the course of the season, it seems that Carolina would like to go 50-60% Williams, 40-50% Stewart WHEN both players are healthy. Competing for the top seed in the conference for at least the next two weeks, I don't see anyone being "rested".

I'm thinking about starting both D Williams and J Stewart this week. Denv sucks and my only other bet would be LJ or R Bush.

Against Denver, where the whole idea has to be to keep Cutler off the field, playing both Carolinas guys seems like a solid move.

I'm one of those owners with both Williams and Stewart. My other #1 RB is Turner.

I was contemplating starting both Panthers RBs, but with the way they ran though the Bucs, I'm thinking about keeping Turner in my lineup and just going with Williams.

Slight hijack - is Dangelo signed for next year? would love to see what Stewie could do with the full time gig.

Right now I've got D.Rhodes and P.Thomas starting with the winner of my game going to the Championship. My bench is Gore (banged up), Parker (Ravens D), J. Stewart (tempting start), T. Bell (Carolina D, but probably primary Denver RB). It figures that the one year I don't take a flier on DeAngelo Williams he goes off.

RB's v. Detroit Defense...it seems like even the RB2s get decent numbers against Detroit (except for the TB/Det game). The Colts have come on as of late and Rhodes has done well. I can see Indy getting a good lead and start pounding the ball alternating Rhodes and Addai. That's my hope at least.

J.Stewart is really tempting seeing as they are at home and have a nationally televised game. But he's so hot and cold. It seems both he and Rhodes go every other week as far as decent scoring is concerned. I'd play Parker, but the matchup is absolutely horrible and he's now sharing time with M.Moore and G.Russell.

For me it seems like the safe start is Rhodes for at least some points and possibly a score, where J.Stewart is more of a boom or bust.

I'm torn between Stewart and Pierre Thomas this week.

He looked like a beast on Monday night and that Denver matchup is pretty enticing. The Panthers might run it 50 times and both Stewart and DeAngelo could go over 100 yards and a TD or 2. I'm expecting something similar to last week or the game against the Lions.

Pierre has been consistent these last few weeks and Stewart has been very up and down week to week. I guess that's why I'm struggling with the decision so much.

I'm not predicting 300 yards rushing a game from here on out......but the D.Williams explosion coincides with all 5 OL starters getting healthy and on the field at the same time. That wasn't the case early in the season when the running game was rather ho-hum.I think this OL can go toe to toe with most DL's in the league.
