Joseph Addai (1 Viewer)

It's been a struggle early on for Addai but I thought he finally looked like Joseph Addai today. Getting Jeff Saturday back was huge but I liked the aggressiveness I saw from Addai today. He ran hard and was impressive - especially when you consider he hadn't fared very well in his career against Jacksonville. The two short TDs were music to his owners' ears and he had by far his most productive game of the season. I'm still surprised at how little he's being used in the passing game. Perhaps that will change after the bye.

Things appear to be looking up for Addai and that's good news for his fantasy owners.

Yes, he did look like Joseph Addai today. A decent back that can't take a full workload, but is in an offense that will allow him to score a lot of TDs.

Addai and the OL played well - this loss is not on them. Too bad the defense was putrid and Manning and the receiving corps made way too many errors. The Colts are a bad team right now - they should be 0-3 - and if they were 2-1 that would have been a major fluke.

Weak. Only reason he didnt have 25 carries and well over 100 yards was the lack of time Indy had the ball in the 2nd hlaf.

:lmao:Give me a break... and people say I have a hard time admitting when I'm wrong.Face it, the OL and Manning both are not 100%, and the JAX defense is still pretty good, and Addai basically carried the offense yesterday. Rhodes had TWO carries yesterday, and TWO carries last week... how is it Addai can't take a full workload? :hifive:Sometimes you are a decent poster... but the quoted post isn't one of them.

Interesting that Addai has a better game... as soon as OC Saturday returns to the lineup.

Aren't the Colts still missing starters on the OL?

Addai stats will be directly proportional to the health of the Colts OL.

What do you mean by this post. Wouldn't most Running backs have better stats when their starting offensive linemen are all playing.. not sure I get what you're saying here..

Finally! These things don't happen in a bubble. Kinda tough for Manning and the WR's to look good when the defense doesn't need to commit any safety help to jam up the running game. As much as I hate to admit it as a Manning/Wayne owner - they NEED Addai to be a threat for this offense to tick. Maybe with Addai not plodding along at less the 2 yds. per this offense has a chance to get back on track.

:kicksrock: All RBs need a decent OL to get yards... struggling behind 4 3rd string OL is not evidence of suckitude...

What I liked most about Addai was how good he looked running with the ball. In my opinion, that was noticeably lacking for most of the first two games. But he was much more assertive against the Jags. Maybe he was more confident with Saturday back in the lineup. Whatever the reason, if he keeps running like that - with a sense of purpose - the production should be there.

Honestly, I thought Addai ran well against the Bears too, but the Colts abandoned the running game far too early even though their pass game was ineffective. The fact he is not involved in the passing game worries me, but as soon as the OLine is healthy as well as Manning, Addai should put up elite numbers.

Addai ran very tough against the Bears, but there was nowhere to go.As far as the passing game goes, they do need to get Addai the ball more in the passing game, and Manning even admitted as much before this week's game. I expect an uptick of numbers in that area after the BYE.

switz knows what I mean.... :whoosh: The entire thread is based on poor performance in weeks 1 & 2. The Colts have a bunch of rookies playing on the OL due to injuries.

OL starters come back
Addai stats come back
