Josh Doctson really stood out to me and is currently my #1 rated Wide Receiver coming into this next draft. I've got a lot of players to watch still but he is definitely somebody who stood out to me. He's 6 ft 4 with tremendously leaping ability and hands. What I like on tape is his ability to beat man coverage and make the contested catch. Highlight after highlight of him going up and punishing defenders on fade routes in the endzone. In that respect he reminds me of DeAndre Hopkins.
He's actually got deceptive speed but very average wiggle. If I were to compare him to somebody from this past draft class, I would say he's Breshard Perriman without the drop concerns. About the same build and athleticism going on there. Except I think Doctson is built like a true #1 Wide Receiver whereas Perriman is a bit stockier.
Comparisons:
Plaxico Burress
Andre Johnson
